It was my first time there. I went with my bestfriend on a Sunday. Place is small. Limited seating. Once we paid and got our food, I stood there for a good minute looking to see if there was any tables available. I noticed there was an empty table with food on it and nobody had cleaned it yet so I just went over and pushed the plates to the side. Someone came and picked it up eventually. The food and drinks were good. After our first plate I wanted to try the lechon so I went to get another plate. It was good as well with the sauce. The place started to fill up and we had been there maybe 20-30 min. My friend just got another plate and a lady that was cleaning came to us a said “don’t leave so soon” and smiled. Stating that we needed to hurry up and leave. So my friend didn’t even finish her food because now she felt awkward and as we’re getting up, the lady rushes over and says. Thanks for understanding (in Tagalog) so we didn’t get to really enjoy our food because or being rushed.
I would recommend either building extra space or putting somewhere that there’s a seating limit. If that’s the case. It should not be a buffet and just a regular restaurant. We ended up ordering food to go home and halo halo but because there was no place to wait inside, we had to wait outside. Luckily there were tables outside but not a good idea if it’s 110 out.
Don’t know if I’ll be coming back. Maybe on a weekday but my first time there was...
Read moreThe food was just ok. We called them ahead of time to see if they had lichon. They said it would be ready in 30 minutes. We drive over there and ask if the lichon is ready. They say 30 minutes even though we called 10 minutes prior to getting there. We decide to stay and go for the buffet. The food is just ok. Nothing special. Not as good as other Filipino restaurants we've been to in town. We could hear the owner talking on the phone arguing with customer. They were complaining about the food. The owner was telling them they didn't have time to argue on the phone and that they could come down to complain. She looked pretty annoyed and was complaining about the work she has to do. She didn't seem appreciative that customers were there eating. The the Lichon finally comes out and it's soggy and mostly just fat. A customer complained to the owner and she said she was rushed cooking it! I guess asking if the Lichon was going to be served was rushing. One last thing, this place isn't cheap. Three of us for the buffet was over $60. My wife looked at our bill and she noticed they over charged us about $5.00! We won't be coming back. Just not worth...
Read moreThe place was surprisingly small for a buffet style restaurant. The cashier is located on the right near the entrance. The line starts on the right-hand side of the cashier, and the drinks are on the left side. It felt overwhelmingly crowded and chaotic with customers lining up for the buffet, getting drinks, paying at the cashier, and waiting for a table all at the same time. The booths felt cramped and uncomfortable.
The food was ok. Nothing really stood out. The menu changes every day, and unfortunately, on the day we visited, they didn't have the dishes I typically get at Filipino buffets, like sisig and kare kare. So that was a bummer. The sinigang was way too sour, not just for me, but for everyone in our group. For dessert, there were only a few pieces of fruit. Price was 17.99, we added 2 dollars for unlimited drinks. My friends didn't like the gulaman, but I thought it was good.
The staff was friendly, and the place was clean. Will I come back? Probably not. Because honestly, it wasn't worth the drive. I mean, I might consider it if I happen to be in the area and really craving for...
