Roberto's Taco Shop — Restaurant in Henderson

worst service on the planet. the server lady just "ya, ya, ya"ed me through the order. spoke a bit of broken English and generally just didn't give a crap. we ordered 3 different dinners and chips w/ guacamole. my food was completely left out of the order. as in not in the bag at all. my dads food was cold, under cooked and the cheese unmelted by even a little bit. as if they just took it directly out of the frig and threw it in a foam box. my wifes food looked a huge mess, basically slop in a box.

you know, i remember in southern California that Roberto's was the absolute best. out here in vegas, even taco smell beats them out. not only in food quality, but food presentation and also employee professionalism. our orders are wrong more often then not. we talk to management about it here and there but nothing ever happens. same crappy food, served by the same crappy employees with the same crappy attitude.

Roberto's....what the hell happened to you? are you being held hostage in some dark forgotten basement of some long forgotten Roberto's taco shop? should i call the police? the marines? batman? obi wan kanobi? at this point, i am willing to try anything aside from selling my soul to the devil and witch craft.

please, please, PLEASE! fix your restaurant. your food was so good at one time, the employees nice and friendly. they took pride in their work and generaly did an amazing job with the food, the customers and the restaurant itself. you realize people are actually going to taco bell and del taco instead of going here? you...

I've been eating at this location for 15 years a few times per month without any issues. A couple of months ago I came in to order my regular, which is 3 chicken tacos. I ordered in English but the cashier would only speak to me in Spanish. I was still polite though, and tipped them 20% (as I do every time I come in there). I then sat down and waited for my food. I was the only person in the restaurant. After 10 mins the cook walked up to the counter and placed the tacos on the ledge to be bagged by the cashier and yelled out "Tres polo tacos para la pendejo". I was pretty sure at the time that pendejo was a derogatory term, but I wasn't sure until I got home and Googled it. There was absolutely no reason for that. I was never rude, I did not make a stink when the cashier would not speak back to me in English, AND I tipped them 20% for doing their job (with no "service" that they should have been tipped for). Needless to say, I threw the tacos out because I only could suspect if that's what the cook thinks of me , and yells it out in the restaurant, then surly he could have messed with my food. Since then I have never visited another Roberto's. This has been bothering me for a few months, and it wasn't until a coworker asked me if I wanted Roberto's today that the story came back to mind and as so, I decided to post...

I have tried around 5 different Roberto's locations and I will drive further to avoid this one in the future ( Eastern & Horizon Ridge)... they really skimp on their chicken tacos (other locations their tacos are bursting at the seams!) Even my small eater said her enchilada combo was smaller than other locations. Their counter was clean but no one bothers to clean the tables. When we sat down more than half the empty tables were dirty. One empty table next to us had a spilled drink all over that no one bothered to clean. They were NOT busy. Kids said bathrooms were terrible- graffiti all over the trash cans & just bad. Food was good, flavor was consistent with other locations. Staff not friendly but I've never had friendly service at any location... they have great food so that keeps us coming back. But I will choose another location...
