Tonight I visited McAlister’s with my husband and 3 year old daughter. We called ahead to make sure there was a dine-in option available due to the unprecedented times. Side note: My husband and I have driven from Gallatin to Hendersonville for lunch three times over the last 2 months all to be let down to call ahead orders or drive-thru only at this McAlisters. Even though the website states Dine-in as an option. We were very excited to finally get to eat there tonight. We arrived just after 7:30pm. There were people ordering ahead of us and people who ordered after us. I ordered the McAlister’s Club Sandwich. I asked if they could heat the meat on my sandwich due to the fact that I am currently pregnant. The cashiers told me “yes they could”. When our food was brought to the table I felt the meat and it was ice cold. I asked the server if I could get it heated again. He said sure and took it back to the window where he asked the chef to heat the meat. The chef took his hat off and threw it on the ground. Then made the comment “that’s what happens when you come in at closing.” I was in complete shock! I specifically asked if it was possible to get the meat on my sandwich heated to which I was told “yes.” I waited patiently to get my sandwich back. All the while the chef is mouthing off about taking orders at closing. Per Google their close time states 9pm that was updated 2 weeks ago. However, it appears that they are closing at 8pm. They did turn away guest who entered after 8pm. Overall, I am shocked at the frustration that the chef showed because I sent my sandwich back to simply be heated. If he needed to vent in that way, he could of gone to the back, stepped to the side, or simply moved away from the open back window where he wouldn’t...
Read moreOrdered via Postmates. They were out of the soup. Ok, that’s fine. I asked for a different one. Out of that one too. Ok, no big deal. Postmates contacts me stating they’re out of coleslaw. Would I like a salad to replace it? Sure. I asked for a caesar salad and I got a garden salad with ranch. Sandwich I ordered... a turkey cranberry. I have alpha gal which causes an allergic reaction to red meat. On the menu, this sandwich doesn’t have ham or bacon. It also states it comes with Gorgonzola cheese. Guess what? I received a turkey, bacon and ham sandwich with cheddar and Swiss. No Gorgonzola. After removing the bacon, I realized halfway through eating the freakin sandwich that it had ham on it. Great... now I’m going to have an allergic reaction. I asked for applesauce. On their menu, it describes this delicious “Mccalisters” recipe. I got Musselmans pre-packed applesauce. I do not recommend this place unless you want inaccurate, inadequate food. I’m actually very disappointed and regret spending the money. If I could give them zero...
Read moreI've been hearing a lot of good things about the sandwiches here, so I decided to check it out. However, the reviews on how great the sandwiches are don't mention how hard the place is to get into. It's on a tiny parking lot on a busy street, requiring a hair-pin turn just to get on the property. I also recommend parking on the side because there isn't enough room in front to park or turn around. That said, the interior is more of a sit-down place than another Subway. The staff was very friendly and cordial, but it does take longer to get your owner if you want a carry-out which is what I wanted. You can request some things to be left off if you want. The place is more deli than fast food with tooth picks holding the sandwich together. I had to go searching for them, finding at least eight of them. I didn't see enough to impress me, but I'm sure a more sit-down crowd would...
