The Jerk chicken was Phenomenal! Rice and peas most authentic I’ve had from Asheville to Greenville ! The Rasta Pasta was delicious, I ordered two extra sides the Mac n cheese (I was a little disappointed it was very plain taste a little like Kraft and baked with shredded cheese that wasn’t completely melted. The cabbage was good, but not a tone of flavor like at some other Jamaican restaurants I’ve been to but it was good just need a little more seasoning. My friend had oxtails the were amazing all in all every meat they offer is 100% authentic and made with love from all my friends feedback they’ve given. Also the Jamaican patty’s were great they also offer a selection of hot sauces for purchase of and Ting and other drinks and other Jamaican sides. The staff was VERY PROFESSIONAL and Friendly I will definitely eat there at least weekly it is close to my house and really delicious. I think they are new and just getting into their routine and will get all of there sides to be just as good as the meats! But it is a MUST TRY! I wish them all the best and will support them as...
Read moreThis was so great I'm still reeling. I saw the tall feather flags on the way to my doctor's appointment and decided to stop on a whim on my way back. I'm on a whole plant diet but the sign saying JERK Chicken got to me. A young man actually got up and opened the door for me. I don't know if it was in deference to my advanced age or if that's standard. No one (no customers) were there but it was mid afternoon. On opening the box at home I found 3 pieces of chicken, a generous bed of yummy rice and beans and a serving of candied yams. It was all so delicious I almost cried. This place is way out of my way and not part of my diet but what is life all about if it's not indulging in gloriously cooked food every once and awhile. I highly recommend this place. Spicy but they warn you and if you are against spices, then what are you doing in a Jamaican Restaurant anyway. Loved it. Oh it was about $15...
Read moreI had high hopes , I want to write this review so the owners see it , and hopefully get some insight . I ordered oxtail , rice and peas , cabbage and coco bread. The coco bread was fluffy and nice while the rest of it had no traditional Jamaican flavor . There was no thyme, no allspice , no cinnamon no nutmeg ABSOLUTELY ZERO, Scotch bonnet added into the food. I was hoping my taste buds would come alive with heat and spice . The rice tasted like it came from a box mix, the cabbage had no flavor , and the oxtail was stewed well but NO flavor . While it seemed like it had and older white dinner crowd when I went in, I think y’all can spice it up ! Add flavor and heat to the mix . People in the Asheville area want something different and I think they would appreciate more for their pallet Please . I’d love to return sometime and see...
