Rita's Italian Ice — Restaurant in Hermitage

It is early spring. It's a warm day. I know this location just opened for the season. That being said, this location needs new management. What kind of manager for a Rita's doesn't look at the weather and order accordingly? If I was a Rita's manager and saw an early March day that was going to be in the 70s, I'd make sure my inventory on hand is more than usual because of the weather. My wife and I went to this location after work looking for a sweet treat and to get out in the warm spring weather. We roll up to the drive thru and there is a sign that there is no custard, just ice products. At that point, 2/3 of the menu is unavailable because the custard isn't available. I am incredibly...

Rita's is always good, and this is a good Rita's! I'm not always a fan of really rich, heavy desserts, and their Gelati (frozen custard with Italian ice) is absolutely perfect for people who want something sweet without the stomach ache, since it's the best mix of creamy frozen custard and light refreshing Italian ice. Wonderfully refreshing for the summer.

I'd recommend the dark cherry ice with chocolate custard -- it had real cherry chunks in it and tasted just like chocolate-covered cherries!

i had a large custard and it was extremely good! The texture, flavor, and everything else about it was perfect. The manager is extremely kind and made my day. This place deserves way more people! If you want a good treat this is the best place to go. The manager's son who also works there is also super kind. We talked for a few minutes and we had a great time enjoying our ice cream and a conversation with the manager and his son. The manager and his son are the kindest people we ever met at...
