I rarely leave reviews and I hate to be negative but just trying to help some people out. So the first few times I came here everything was so amazing! I got a big back burrito and my partner got a benny burrito plus some coffees. I’m telling you it was actually so yummy and perfect that we got the same exact order a few times in a row. I would say the last 3 times we’ve been there it has gone downhill and that’s so sad. I’m not really sure what the issue is. The staff and service are great but the food has been trash. The bacon was so rubbery, chewy, and fatty compared to before it was perfectly cooked and crispy. We got through a few bites but ended up throwing our food away and didn’t say anything to them. We ordered again because we thought maybe it was just an off day but it was even worse the next time. Same thing bacon was gross and undercooked, potatoes were hard and undercooked and then there was some bowl with pork my partner got and it was just a pile of mess honestly. Totally lost his appetite. We did reach out to them this time and they were so accommodating that they gave us a $40 gift card to make up for it when our total was like $35 so that was so kind of them. We just ordered this morning to use the gift card and we figured get something with no bacon or sausage to avoid the fatty and chewy thing that we didn’t like. We got coffees and the pepper and egg sandwiches. I hate to be mean but it’s just mediocre especially for what you pay. I would just say save your money. We were expecting hot peppers but they were just banana peppers plus we both had stems in our sandwiches. The exterior made me wonder what lay inside, and then once there, the interior made me feel invited, even when placing a take-out order. My family and I placed our orders with a smiling and welcoming counter attendant who answered questions patiently and knowledgeably. Our orders, with some personal tweaks, came out quickly -- so quickly it felt surprising. Kudos to managing a kitchen and brew station with speed and accuracy! And we really, really liked it. Not too sweet specialty drinks, coffee flavor shining through, and DECAF available (required for me, so my vote counts BIG). Grizzly Bean offers an online loyalty program that bestows one point per dollar spent, and registration asks for a cell number, enter, and done! Start earning on your first purchase. But honestly as many times as I have been here the staff is not very welcoming, I come in to wait on my order and I hear them laughing about how I asked for sugar free syrup. “Do you want your drink sugary or not that’s the whole point” (laughing) so I’m asked what I’d like today and I told them I am waiting on the order that they are talking/laughing about. She told me they don’t do all sugar free, which I said was fine I wanted my drink as sugar free as possible not the whole thing. I know not every syrup is sugar free. As a customer I shouldn’t be hearing you make “funny” comments to other co workers. Also to then hear them say to each other they are out of cookie butter cold foam, but instead of asking me what I would like they put whatever on and no cookie topping. If the snarky comments were never made I wouldn’t even be upset about the cold foam or cookie pieces at all bc I understand.
