This is the worst Hibachi and Sushi I have ever had in my life!! I've been to several Hibachi and Sushi and they far outshine this establishment in every way imaginable. The only reason this place has any stars has to be from workers, family members, or people who never had proper Hibachi and Sushi. It is also extremely expensive!!
I've been here a little over a year ago with my mom and it was terrible then, but I tried it again with my husband about 2 weeks ago hoping it was just a bad cook the other time. Well that hope was misplaced.
The "salad dressing" seems to be the oil leftover from the grill. It was totally revolting. Thankfully I had real salad dressing in my fridge so I could eat the salad.
The rice was over cooked both times with burnt eggs 🤮. The chicken was okay, but overly salty. The yum yum sauce is pitiful! I think it is watered down to go further. I couldn't even tell I had any on my Hibachi.
The volcano roll was pathetic! It was puny, chewy, and the only flavor came from the hot sauce on top. Giant Eagle a little further down in the plaza has far superior quality sushi!
Go to Yamato in New Castle for actual good Hibachi and Sushi! It is phenomenal and...
Read moreI was very disappointed with the quality of our meal in comparison to the high prices charged by this restaurant. The sushi tonight had a chemical like aftertaste which was also present in our sodas. I ordered the fillet mignon hibachi meal and there must have been a total of 12 1/2 inch cuts. When I brought the sushi’s aftertaste concern up to the waitress, she shrugged and said she didn’t understand. I asked to speak with a manager, however she said she spoke to him and was able to provide us with a discount.
My intentions were not to get a discount but to raise my concern that the fish may not be good to serve. I eventually walked up to the manager and told him of my concern and he said he cut the fish fresh that morning. I said I understood that however I think he should try it for himself and make sure there are no problems with it. He assured me he would do this later.
I also find it odd that there were six or seven people in the dining room staff but only one waitress taking orders, which prolonged the length of time for anyone to get food.
I will not...
Read moreThis was supposed to have been a treat to myself. It was a disappointment instead. First of all, I wanted sushi, not hibachi, but I had to ask three times before I could get a sushi menu. When the first part of my order came out, there was only the soup. I assumed my unagi appetizer was coming soon (more about that later). The soup was obviously not the miso soup I ordered, and too salty. Next, my sushi came out. There was far too little rice for the size of the fish slice, and it was dry. Only when they were preparing my bill did they realize that I never got my appetizer. Had I been given the option, I would have told them just to remove it from the bill. But they dutifully prepared it and brought it out at the end of the meal. In fairness, this was the best prepared part of the whole visit. Moreover, the service was extremely slow. This could be forgiven during a busy dinner service, but I was the only person in the restaurant not dining at the hibachi. I can't recommend Kobe to anyone in...
