I had high hopes when we headed here to try this place. It's tucked back in a small corner of a more contemporary shopping area in Hernando and it is super cute and trendy from the outside. The google reviews were excellent so I was fairly confident that it would be a pleasant experience, however, that was not the case. Our waitress, as pleasant and chatty as she was, barely checked on us after taking our order initially, which took much longer than it should have. The waitress even told us that she was going to be taking orders for another table or 2 that had arrived AFTER we did but she would be back to take our order soon. Little to no updates were provided about the status of our order except when we flagged down our waitress, who's only response was that the kitchen was SO SLAMMED with the lunch rush which was difficult to understand because the "lunch rush" was in the process of making a mass exodus when we arrived so more than half of the restaurant was empty. It took over an hour to get breakfast food and when it finally arrived, all of the food on every single one of the four plates, was cold. Is there anything worse than a cold omelet?? I politely informed the waitress about the food, without asking for anything in exchange, she volunteered to talk to her manager. After waiting another 10 minutes for her to return from speaking with her manager, she had yet to return, I flagged her down and just asked for the check since the food was inedible, we were still hungry and tired of waiting. The waitress had not "had a chance" to talk to her manager so we went ahead and paid the check, in full, and left 4 nearly a full plates of food on the table. After re-reading the positive reviews online, I can only assume that this was a one-off terrible day at Bazar but it is highly unlikely that I would return to give it...
Read moreMy mom and I are done with Bazar Bakery & Breakfast. We normally go here everytime I come to visit and every single time we are served undercooked or old microwaved food. This time my mom got the stuffed French toast and the bread was so soggy(undercooked) it was straight up disgusting. It turned into a gross watery paste(its raw egg actually) in your mouth- this is not french toast- which is sad because the dish concept sounds amazing. The chef dropped the ball, or maybe the owner is cutting corners on ingredient quality. The grits weren't cooked all the way and the Avocado was the cheap brownish green goo you get pre-made from the grocery store. Neither of us complained, we ate what we could, paid, tipped and got a cinnamon roll on the way out thinking that was the only thing Bazar seemed to do well anymore. Get home and heat up the cinnamon roll and whoever made them forgot to put sugar in the frosting? In the whole thing? It's literally bread with cinnamon and cream cheese. It's not a cinnamon roll and it's not Bazars normal recipe.
Idk what's going on, if you lost some staff or something but we aren't coming back. 39 bucks for 3 things and tip and not a single one was remotely good.
Sorry to leave a bad review, i normally dont say anything if i dont have anything nice to say but this is the third time in a row, and the prices exceed...
Read moreWhile visiting my mom in Horn Lake, I decided to eat breakfast at a local restaurant today instead of a chain restaurant. My mom said "Let's try this place in Hernando. I ate there once and it was good."
The restaurant is located in a little shopping plaza, parking is very tight.
Once we got on the in there I was overwhelmed and excited about the decor! There was music was playing. There is also a small gift shop to the left when you walk in.
After being seated, we were greeted by our server. After looking at the menu, I was undecided between the Bazar Platter and Sausage acream cheese casserole. The server told me something that made lots of sense "you can get pancakes and meat anywhere, but not necessarily a sausage casserole" I was like that make sense, and I am looking to try something new!
✨ Wow! What a surprise! ✨ It came to the table looking like a little pillow—so cute, I almost didn’t want to eat it. But once I took a bite... WOW. The flavor blew me away! The bread was soft and buttery, the sausage was perfectly seasoned, and the texture combination was AMAZING. It literally melted in my mouth.
If you’re thinking about trying it—DO IT. You won’t regret it!
The service was amazing as well! Everyone was nice...
