La Siesta — Restaurant in Hernando

After years of enjoying the experience of this restaurant I hope this review helps anyone who is just now finding it.

The staff here goes above and beyond to ensure food is prepared consistently and quickly. Not one person in this restaurant has a sole job. Everyone contributes in a group effort to ensure each order is fulfilled as timely as possible.

The food is always good and the staff works hard to create a welcoming environment.

Even on busy weekend evenings, you can assure all hands are on deck to bring you good grub in a timely manner. If your food DOES take a moment to arrive, just look at their exposed kitchen and order system to see just how demanding their job is. It’s quite impressive to say the least!

I had Italian lasagna and my husband had a hamburger. The lasagna, while not the best I've ever had was a good B to B+. It came with a nice size salad and garlic knots. For $10.99 it was hard to beat. My husband 's hamburger dressed with lettuce, tomato, pickle and onion was very good, according to him. One of the very few Mexican places in the area....if you aren't from the area you won't understand that's a ridiculous claim but whats true is they are at the top of the pile. Fast, friendly service and consistently putting out good food where some others are more hit and miss. The huge crowds tend to speak for tend to speak for themselves.
