This store is run by a bunch of kids and unfortunately it shows. I thought at first maybe I should give them more than one chance... but after 2, 3 and 4 I think I'm going to have to forgo one of my families favorite sandwich shops. I live 20 minutes away... that's no short trip. On more than one occasion I have attempted to phone ahead for my order, each time I am left on hold, sometimes for 20.minutss and then hung up on at the end of it. When I attempt to call back.... the phone is off the hook. I know this to be true because when I finally do arrive at the store it's evident and the phone, laying face up on the counter top right next to the register reflects the same! This time I walked into the store (which had only 4 people sitting 2 each to 2 different table) and asked the young kid roaming around if he was aware his phone was off the hook. 'Oh yeah' was the reply I got followed by an 'our bad'. Your bad? I sat on hold for 17.5 minutes and then was hung up on and when I call back your line is busy for 20 minutes? How much business do you think that is costing you all? 'Well we have to serve the guest in the store first' .... WHAT GUESTS???? And as though to top it off when I make the ride back home 20 minutes later I discover that my order IS WRONG! IVE HAD IT TO THE EYEBALLS WITH HERNANDO STEAK ESCAPE AND THEIR LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE AND DESIRE TO EMPLOY INDIVIDUALS WHO SHOW HALFWAY DECENT REGARD FOR THE PEOPLE WHO HELP FUND...
Read moreSandwich had little meat. Fries were very over-cooked and came home to the dog. I ordered a grilled chicken salad for me. The menu shows a bowl full of salad and says says the salad is made of spring mix greens. I received a clear to-go box (we were dining in) with a handful of iceberg lettuce and less than 10 small squares of unseasoned chicken. So, I received a side salad with a little chicken on it for $9. When I questioned it, I wasn't treated very well. No apology and no solution were offered, but 2 excuses that that is the only lettuce they have and the menu hasn't been updated in a while. I sat to eat it, but could not stomach the idea that it was supposed to be okay that I ordered a grilled chicken salad on spring mix greens for $9 & received a little pile of iceberg with a few small pieces of chicken on top. It wasn't ok. Our money is precious and so is our time. We chose to give this restaurant a try for the first time and it was also our last. It is very upsetting to pay someone to treat you like a bother, so I asked for the money back on the salad. When I was given a full refund and refused to take it all because my son was eating the pitiful sandwich, I felt like a bother again because someone had to wait while my money was refunded. Read moreLast night, I was working in Hernando, MS, about 25 miles from home, and was excited to grab dinner at Steak Escape since I really enjoy their food. My co-worker had never eaten there, and I was eager to introduce him. Unfortunately, the experience was incredibly disappointing.
We arrived around 8:20 PM, and as soon as we walked in, we noticed the staff cleaning the kitchen. I asked, “Are y’all still cooking?” and the employee, clearly overwhelmed, checked his watch and reluctantly said, “Uh, yeah.” I placed my order and asked to make it a combo, only to be told, “We’re not doing fries anymore tonight.” I asked if there were chips or another option, and he curtly replied, “Sandwiches only.”
Another customer came in, and the employee taking my order became visibly agitated. My co-worker and I decided to settle for just sandwiches. When we got our food, it was packed to go, even though we wanted to dine in. At that point, it was only 8:30 PM, but the staff made it clear they were in a hurry to wrap up. While we quickly ate, the entire restaurant filled with steam from the open kitchen being cleaned, making it an uncomfortable and rushed experience.
