The Burger Shop — Restaurant in Hernando

Have been wanting to try this place for a while and finally got thw chance today. My wife and I stopped in at lunch time and grabbed a couple burgers. She had the 1/4 lb sized sciracha slaw burger with seasoned wedges and I had monster 1/2 lb bacon cheddar burger with garlic wedges. First thoughts were man these are some big burgers! Perfectly cooked, juicy, well seasoned beef and featuring some crispy Wright's bacon! Her seasoned wedges beat out my garlic but both were legit. Wedges are baked and served in a foil pack piping hot. All the usual toppings are available for your burger including grilled onions, jalapeno, and banana peppers. The place is small and cozy, clean as can be. Everyone is very friendly and the service is excellent! Patio really looks inviting when weather permits. The menu goes beyond burgers to include some tasty sounding sandwiches, wraps, and salads. If the burgers are any indication, you can't go wrong with any choice you make. Placing an order at this place is bananas. You are FORCED to use BiteSquad and you have the option to order "Pick-Up" or "Delivery". Try to call...no answer. Have to call multiple times to even get the staff to pick up. Placed an order through THEIR chosen app and THEY canceled the order. THEY were nice enough to not tell me until I came to pick up the order an HOUR later and the bonus?? The charge will fall off my account in 3-5 days. Every single time I have ordered whether it be pick-up, delivery, or call in (if I'm lucky enough to get through) it has been wrong anyway. Missing side items, missing drinks, no gravy on hamburger steak, no cheese on burger when I clearly added and paid for it are just a few past order bloopers. I’ve tried this place about half a dozen times since it was located near I-55. Everytime i want to give it another try, I am once again disappointed. Everytime the burger leaves me feeling nauseous. Today I called in an order and they were out of bacon, WHAT KIND OF BURGER SHOP RUNS OUT OF BACON?! They have always been too overpriced, today it was $24 for 2 burgers and a side of less than mediocre garlic fries. I will not be going back ever again.
