I enjoy going to this Naked Lunch location. The pros are the food is organic, it is made to order, you can order raw food selections, you can order steamed food items or items precooked. Since I am vegan this menu is perfect for me. Although if you do eat meat I am sure that you will find a meal to satisfy your taste buds. The main offerings are bowls with a base of either kale or spinach or brown rice or pilaf or quinoa or black beans. You add some fresh vegetables or herbs or fruit or tofu or sweet potatoes some fresh in house made dressings and you have a meal. What I like about this location is that they fill your bowl with enough food to where you don't mind spending about $11.00. I usually get the caulifower "steak". It comes with cauliflower obviously as the base that has been named in dill, lemon juice and garlic, then brown rice, cherry tomatoes, spinach and mushrooms. I substitute the ingredients to suit my palette. I am thankful they allow substitutions. And if none of their designed bowls sound apetizing you can make your own. Another fave is the Jammin' Yam. The base is a baked sweet potatoe, then quinoa, pineapples, black beans, mixed peppers and avocados are added on top. Yum. Then I add the roasted red pepper and roasted garlic sauce on top. Next time I will have to take a 📷 and share it. Then they offer muffins, soups and fresh raw juice and kombucha. With the fresh juice they come in the 12 oz and 16 oz sizes. You can order the juice on the menu or one of your own design. If you are looking for a healthy meal option I would definitely...
Read moreI would like to express my sincere disappointment regarding a recent incident involving an employee at "Naked Lunch" Herndon. we have been regular customer for many years at this stablishment. Food is always good. and customer services was ..Ok. But today , while stoping , for 3 sides (tomatoes , beans , quinoa) for our little boy (19 months old) . there was a new guy and two women. they attempted to charge us $14 for those 3 items. when I questioned the why? , they become very agressive, stating that there were under " new management" and that people wont get free food anymore.( whatever that was) and the women agreed with him and also say that I always get free food. At this point I was so mad , I couldn't believe what this people were doing. and even the new guy say he knew that I always do that ,and that he saw me... a total lie , because is the first time I see this guy there. HE started saying to grab the food and leave.. if I didn't have the money to feed my family .. and some other stupid things. He even threatened me with calling the police, and trespass me.
Overall , he was disrespectful, and racist I must add ,deeply offensive . Such conduct is...
Read moreUpdate (8/8/2025): I revisited the Herndon Naked Lunch location and mentioned my previous experience (see below). The kitchen manager, Kendall, and his teammate kindly offered a free salad, and the quality was back to what I’m used to. Thank you, team!
Previous Experience (7/18/2025): I’ve always enjoyed dining at the Herndon Naked Lunch location, but my most recent visit was disappointing. The staff seemed new and less friendly, and the salad I ordered was subpar. Compared to a previous visit (see photo B), my latest salad (photo A) had far less quantity, was overly soupy with too much dressing, and wasn’t worth the $12 price. When I raised the issue with a senior cook, they dismissed it as fine and only added a few extra spinach leaves. If the service and quality don’t improve with the new staff, I’m unlikely to return. This is disappointing, as it used to be one of my favorite spots for a...
