Sales associate Peggy was a mattress-finding rockstar. My tag-a-long friend and I went through what can only be described as a journey of self-discovery as Peggy enthusiastically helped me figure out which type of mattress best suited my current needs. We learned about sleep posture, mattress composition, and the interesting technology behind sleeping accessories.

Understanding my budget and seeing my face of horror when I saw the price of the mattress I liked most, Peggy offered me a pre-owned mattress that was medically sterilized and cleared for resale. I would recommend this option to anyone on a budget. Immediately saved my back and my wallet. I also got a basic adjustable frame for free as part of a promotion. The frame is fun for sitting up in bed.

My critiques: I wish we had gone through the paperwork for the pre-owned mattress more thoroughly before I paid; I didn’t realize until after the purchase that pre-owned did not come with Mattress Firm’s 120-day warranty .

I also noticed that somewhere in the data entry, my address was entered incorrectly. I called the store and spoke to another associate about correcting the typos the day before my scheduled delivery. However, I’m not sure if those corrections made it to the delivery service because the deliverers called me and had difficulty finding me.

Nonetheless, I’m giving 5 stars because everything worked out in the end. Peggy was a great salesperson and helped me find what I needed. The price of everything, including the basic delivery tier, got me my new bed set without much hassle and just within my budget. And most importantly, I’m sleeping...

I planned to spend at least a couple of days looking at mattresses. Davey at Mattress Firm in Herndon knowledgably questioned me about what I wanted in a mattress, and he also listened to and answered my questions. Then, he set out to show me 3 mattresses that might fulfill my very specific needs. I spent time testing the comfort of each mattress, and Davey described the differences among them and answered more of my many questions. We chatted about various things which gave me time to consider, rather than rushing through to finish. I went home to think over what I had learned and to read a bit more about buying a bed (which I hadn’t done for many years). Then, I wanted to test the beds again and returned to Mattress Firm. I had decided to choose one of two beds, and soon, after more discussion and without any pressure from Davey to hurry up, I decided on the one I wanted. Completing the purchase went smoothly. I didn’t think I was the type to buy a mattress from an actual store. I’m a millennial, I’d rather just order it online and not have to have any potential awkward encounters with anyone.

But you know, I think I’ve changed my mind on that. When I first came here in March, I really just wanted to try out a Purple mattress since I’d heard so much about it. Martin helped me out and really gave me a lot of information to make a decision. Mattress Firm also honors all the deals that Purple has on their website, so there’s that as well.

We came back today to actually buy the mattress and Donna was super helpful. I have to say that everyone I’ve dealt with here was nothing but friendly and knowledgeable. They make it really easy to make a decision with so many options and it seemed like they were very clear and outlined all of the relevant details, which I particularly appreciate when making such a large purchase.
