Ordered breakfast via online App. Store 'decided' they weren't opening until lunch, which is understandable, it's New years day.
Whats not understandable is why they enabled online ordering via the App. If you're not aware, the app charges your card when you 'arrive' at the store, not when food is handed out.
Furthermore, management on duty seems incompetent. As opposed to informing me himself, he sent out a worker who quite obviously has developmental issues. This isn't fair to me, or that employee. The employee initially didn't know about the refund process and had to go back inside. Manager tells her to tell me that it's all handled through the app, this is incorrect.
I drove home with my toddler screaming (Bacon and hashbrowns was my reason for dining out. She loves them, and dad(me) didn't feel like cooking like he normally does after working till 4am on NYE.
Corporate says that refunds must be handled through the specific store (note, I already have charges pending showing by this point).
I contact the store only to be told they can't find my order (please note, 6 minutes elapsed since the time I left the mcdonalds parking lot)
I went into detail in regards to the order, and the total including tax. Still can't find it, but the charge is indeed pending and the order is pushed through as opposed to canceled. As this point the manager pushes the narrative that 'oh, it should clear, and if not we'll have to handle it here'.. 2 jobs and co parenting leaves me with little time to argue over $12.98 Let alone spend MORE time at the store just to get my refund...
I'm not impressed, and I won't going back anytime soon. My next step is to dispute the charge...

They get more rude and mess up your order more. New** 05/03/24 I paid for my food via the app and they are telling me after it says it paid for they don’t have it in their system. I sent someone to get the food I am with a bunch of kids. They tell me I have to be so close I’m right around the corner , are you kidding me. So why doesn’t the app tell you before they take your money. She refused to give me the food.
I just bought this tonight 6/24 and it’s a large fry! Like really guys these things are 4$ and you can’t even bother to fill it up? Update : Night Crew in 12-21 were so rude. They stood there talking as I waited to be helped. They saw me standing there and still stood in a group talking. Then I said something so the night manager comes and The woman argued with me and was very disrespectful. I needed help with a gift card and they clearly weren’t trying to help me solve the issue. I wipe my hands of you guys. If my kids didn’t ask and ask I would drive to catevile to not deal with you. I guess you’ll have to deal with me as much as I have to deal with you guys ! I stood there was got yelled at. How is it my fault you cant type a number in. Or call your mom whoever that is to get help like your co worker suggested.

Read moreI ordered a sausage biscuits with grape jelly, a steak egg cheese biscuit, and a large sweet tea. After my order, the lady asked who was next, and I stepped to the side, waiting for my order. After about five minutes, an older woman called out a ticket number, looking at me oddly , then read off the order. I said that was mine (I was never given a receipt with my number), and she placed the bag in front of me and walked off. I raised my voice so she could hear me and asked for the rest of my order, which was my sweet tea. She raised her voice and said the cups are right there, and you don't have to get smart and have an attitude. I had never been to this establishment before and didn't know I was supposed to help myself. I asked for her name and wasn't told it by staff, so I'm sure she was a manager. The rudness of her was not needed. I only wanted what I purchased. After getting in my car driving down the road, I found that I was given a sausage egg cheese and not my steak. And to think she is probably the one that trains the staff.... I think my one-star raiting is...
