Restaurante Delicias La Cabana — Restaurant in Hialeah

This Salvadorian restaurant was my favorite for the homemade feeling and taste of food, quality has gone down a lot over the last couple of years, there is a sign at the door advertising an opening for a cook and it shows they need it, the wait for the food was longer than usual and it was not that good,Tamal de elote is served with crema, I found this elote to be bigger than the usual they always served and it was not a good elote, to me it was a sweet version of Grits(see video), it’s supposed to be compact, I don’t like to use the word but it was gross, either to old and re-boiled in water or not cooked properly, did not eat it. Prices have been going up a little but portions are generous . The atmosphere was ok, loud TV playing music but it’s expected in a latin restaurant. It’s not what it used to be, if feeling adventurous go try it...

I used to bring my parents here to eat whenever they visited, but I won't anymore.

The service was awful! Not only did the old waitress rush us to place an order as soon as we sat down, but she also dared to suggest we needed to pay for a dish we did not order. Instead of accepting she brought us the wrong kind of pupusa, she became aggressive and tried to blame us for her mistake. When we asked for the bill to be able to leave quickly, she brought it ONLY after we asked another waitress to bring it. Then, instead of apologizing, she made snide comments about the other waitress removing the wrong order from the bill so that we didn't have to pay for it. We had never left this place so quickly until that day. She ruined...

I'm at the restaurant as I write this... and our waitress hates every second of her job. She is so annoyed. I've come here before and never had a bad experience like this.. somebody at a table next to us asked if she could turn on the tv, she said no. We sat and told her we were waiting on somebody else and she asked what OUR order was... we told her we were waiting on that other person to order together and she got annoyed and walked away. We finally order, and EVERY TIME we order here they give you complimentary chips and dip, she didnt. We get our food, and she never not once checked on how we were doing. Now we're waiting on the bill that has somehow taken forever to get. This lady has made me regret...
