We visited this location very first time at beginning of 1996 shortly after it opened, so have been there for a while!
During these long years we have been intermittent customers there (this location is few blocks from home), we have held there family reunions, birthday dinners, couple of anniversaries and just regular, casual visits...
Here are some points about my comments:
1-Parking: no problems here. This location shares its parking lot with a Target store, but always there are plenty of places to park your car! 2-Waiting Time: If you do not like to wait for a table, do not visit there! I do not like either but normally you must wait between 20-45 minutes for a table. And once you walk into the restaurant will find several empty tables... 3-Service: Being quite honest, the service during this time has been quite good, we have been served by lot of different waiters during those 21 years and really have no complain on it, except for something peculiar: I have noticed most if not all the waiters get the habit of bringing the salad to your table even before you finish the appetizer! Nothing bad on it since tables have space for all of the plates, but I believe the salad should be served once we the patrons finished the appetizer, but it is not a big deal for me (we are not that picky!). 4-Food Quality: Excellent! Second to none! I have tried their different steaks and really those are simply delicious! Like any restaurant chain I know it is matter of hit and miss, but can testify over those 21 years their food quality has never let us down...Their quality has been consistent all of this time. 5-Beverage: Used to be better...Normally my half orange and yours truly like to have few draft beers before and during our meal...Up to some 3 years ago was fine, but recently visited there and found they have only 3 brands of draft: Blue Moon, Bud Light and Miller Lite...Our visit was a Sunday at 6:30 pm and when ordered second round, the waiter confirmed they ran out of Blue Moon!!! No grudges against light beer drinkers, but cannot understand how a location which gets sooooooooo busy on Sundays afternoon can only offer 2 kinds of draft beer! Before they used to have regular Budweiser, Heineken and Sam Adams draft, but not any longer...Had to go by bottled beer which is fine, but bottle beer you can buy it at a supermarket or liquor store, while you cannot buy a draft beer neither a supermarket or liquor store...Some little improvement needed here! I do know they have full bar service, but cannot comment on it since have not tried. 6-Desserts: Quite good...I'm not a dessert person but have nibbled on their desserts thanks to my daughter and those are quite good!
Besides this location on previous vacation over the years we have tried the Longhorn restaurant in Orlando and Jacksonville, as coincidence those locations were side by side with Target stores and the above 6 points have been maintained, the only exception with more variety of draft beer.
This place is above good and I do really recommend it, maybe a little pricey but honestly for the kind, quality and amount of food you get it is worth the visit...If management is reading, just do a favor please to a couple of draft beer lovers, and add maybe 2 more brands of draft beer!!! Everything else do not change it, the way it is now...
Read moreI had absolutely HORRIBLE experience! Just a quick insight, I’ve been a chef for over 20+ years. So I know how restaurants are supposed to be ran.
I came in at 10pm on 7/2/22, upon sitting we immediately ordered. We already knew what we wanted. It took about an hour to receive our two mid rare steaks. My gf’s steak was cooked to a perfect mid-rare, however mine was very well done. The server took the plate back to the kitchen. When she came back with a different piece of steak, I immediately cut into it in front of her. It was very rare, borderline raw.
I asked the server to ask for the manager of the restaurant. The manager sat down and listened to everything that happened, she saw my rare/raw steak and agreed it was not mid-rare. She apologized for the horrible experience. At this time it was about 11:30pm and they close at 11:00pm. Hadn’t even had a bite of my dinner yet.
Shorty after who I believe to be the kitchen manager or expediter came out with my same steak saying that it was in fact a mid-rare steak. Despite the general manager and I agreeing that it was rare/raw. I politely explained to her that I’ve been a professional chef for 20+ years and I’m sorry but that steak was not mid-rare. I showed her my gf’s and explained that here’s is a mid-rare. Mine is rare and borderline raw. I also explain to her that the manager’s assessment was the same as mine.
She proceeded to argue with me, at which point I became furious! As a chef you fix the issue and make the customer happy, not argue over something that was clearly an error on your end! At that point I was so angry, we left the restaurant. I will never be returning to this restaurant and I will definitely be telling all my friends and family of my...
Read moreWe decided to go to the place yesterday (on Mother’s Day) because it was closer to my mother-in-law’s house, so she would not have to drive that far, but we left without eating. We called the waiter (a very polite young man) because the silverware was dirty. To be perfectly honest, my mother’s silverware was dirty ( it was inside a black tablecloth and had what seemed to be a piece of wet meat on it) but ours was wet, which in my opinion is unacceptable as well, since those water droplets could harbor God knows what, plus it is not okay at any level in a quite known restaurant chain. Well, in their defense, the waiter immediately apologized and called the manager, who, instead of apologizing herself, told me if I was sure the silverware was dirty or if we got them like that with the courtesy bread and creme cheese that my children and husband were already eating ( by the way, using the only dry fork on the table). More than unacceptable from someone that should be the epitome of customer service, so we stood up and left the place but not without letting her know my thought on first, her managerial and customer service skills, and my thoughts on sitting at a place with dirty silverware. ( I won't even mention the dog or God knows what animal’s feces at the restaurant’s outdoor waiting area that, by the way, my 5-year-old stepped on before entering) Neitherless to say, we are not coming back to that or any other restaurant of that specific chain. We ended up at another restaurant, “Santorini by Georgios,” in Miami Beach. Wonderful ambiance and service, exquisite food, and the price were only slightly higher, which is totally worth it. In other words, I do not recommend...
