UPDATE It's been a month since I wrote this review and I did contact the customer service that responded to my post however it wasn't any help at all. I was told I could go to any Ashley or city furniture and pick out any set of lamps and throw (the items I am still missing) and they would let me take them home. Once I set foot in the store this was not the story, I was told the lamps were $X amount and that's what I could pick out which would've been fine but there were all but 6 lamps to pick from in store and all over $200 each. I purchased a set of 14 pieces which obviously discounted the dollar amount per item so my lamps came out pretty cheap. I would have to pay at least $100 out of pocket to make up the amount for a pair I would be settling for because they lacked in selection. I have yet to receive a response about the throw. My parents purchased a multi-piece set from rooms to go 2 weeks ago and received everything earlier than the date they were told. Lesson learned.
I purchased a complete living room set the week of Labor Day and Iâm still waiting for half of my order to this day. Iâve sent several emails to Lazaro the salesman that helped me with my putting my order in and have never heard a peep back from him which I shouldâve expected since he really didnât help me with anything other than processing the order. He told me I would be receiving everything before the end of September which was perfect because every other furniture store I went to said the expected delivery would be mid October. This was 95% of the reason why I even gave my business to this company, I prioritized delivery date over anything else. Now, I was delivered a throw with a very visible tear, I spoke with customer service and said someone would come and pick up the damaged throw October 1st and would deliver the new one. That someone never showed up and I didnât receive a call nor email from customer service about it. I called today and they said I wonât be seeing it until October 27th and âitâs is what it isâ, that any date I am given is an estimate not the exact date things will be delivered. I expected a lot more from this company and itâs customer service especially right now when business is tough, youâd think theyâd want to give their 100% to retain their clients. I truly do not recommend Ashley Furniture based on this experience, Iâve been lied to, ignored and strung along for over a month. Every single employee has given me the wrong information to cover their mess from the salesman to the delivery team who blatantly lied and said the half of my order that was not delivered didnât make the truck and would be delivered days later. I obviously will not buy anything from this...
Read moreWe purchased a bedroom set and some other furniture for my daughter's new room and the workers in the store were very kind and helpful but there are a couple other reasons why I'm giving one star. So, they had told us that it would take a couple days for our delivery (and that was fine) and when the delivery came, the guys delivering said the order wasn't complete so they couldn't build anything. Even though there was A LOT of furniture, they had told us they couldn't apparently. So they told us the order would be complete by the end of the month( btw this was in June). Since I had bought a bedroom set, I had no furniture in her room ( to make space for the new ones) so she had to SLEEP on the floor the whole time. We had been waiting for a WHOLE MONTH for the furniture to arrive. It's currently August and I still don't have furniture. I have her room FILLED with boxes and a mattress on the floor where she sleeps. She has absolutely NO space for ANYTHING else like studying or even just to hang out there. We called again yesterday and had a kind lady tell us the status of our shipment, and apparently it was complete since the BEGINNING. Now we have to wait until September to get people to come and build EVERYTHING. I honestly feel bad for them since it wasn't even THEIR job in the first place. Imagine having more than half of your daughters room filled with boxes and only having a small place to sleep. AND on top of that, having to wait 3 MONTHS for furniture that should've been built when it arrived! I don't usually write reviews for anything, but this made me absolutely furious. Even though I loved how big and organized the store was, I don't think I'll EVER be shopping...
Read moreI came into Ashley Homestore in Hialeah to purchase bed rails. When I walked in, there were three associates at the front. I stood there for a while and then they began speaking amongst themselves about whose turn it was to help someone who walked in. My response was just to point me in the direction and I'll figure it out on my own. I felt like I was being a burden.
Recommendation: Only have 1 representative, and if they need assistance, either radio/call for someone to assist someone.
I was helped by Lill. I was extremely impressed with her knowledge of what Ashley furniture offers and the policy. I appreciated her taking the time to look for the specific rail I needed.
My delivery was free and took four days instead of three (I believe it was because they no longer had availability within the three days.) It's not a guarantee you'll receive it in three days, but I'm glad she was honest with me about that upfront.
The delivery notification/tracking is terrible. For two hours it said that the movers were at stop 7. It doesn't update accurately. I ended up calling customer service because it said my furniture would come between 2:30 - 5:30 pm, but there was also text saying my delivery would arrive between 2:30 pm and 3:00 pm. The customer service rep was able to accurately track my delivery and it turned out that I was next. I was notified by the delivery movers 15 minutes before delivery via call and text. They were awesome and helpful and swift. I certainly appreciated them making sure my items weren't ruined. Kudos to those three men.
Overall, I had a very positive experience and recommend purchasing from...
