I ordered a 3 piece fish dinner and asked for the fish to be cooked a little bit longer so the young lady that was training announced it through the microphone and some man in the back hollard no and the young lady proceeds to laugh, no problem, then I asked for a little extra tartar sauce and lemon 4 tartars and 5 lemon wedges and the manager I assume got it and never acknowledge me at all and she handed me 3 tartars so I waited a minute and the little girl working the window looked at me and I asked her if I could have 1 more tarter sauce and she said how many do I have and I said the lady handed me 3 and I needed four and she said no and I said your kidding she said I would have to pay for more I had no problem with that but at this point I they were being rude and then the man training the lady on the register steps in and gave me a price I said okay I would like one so I had 20 cent to give them and I waited they ignoring me I asked for the tartar sauce and they said I would have to get back in line I said are serious I been standing right where I pick up the food for a couple minutes then a couple other different customers couldn't believe they were treating me like that then i spoke up and said I'm a customer and I was getting a little upset with their services and the young girl that was training blurted out I'm gonna leave if I gotta put up with this stuff I was amazed with how I was getting treated so I found out that if I sat down I could use as much tartar sauce I needed and no extra cost that's puzzling so I sat down got the tartar sauce I needed and boxed up and left. I had throat cancer last year and the treatments killed my salava glands and that was the reason for a little extra sauce thank you and God bless you as you can watch the video if you have one at your...
Read moreI've been going to this Captain D's almost everyday since 2021. My son whom follows a strict routine gets broccoli and tea here everyday, and it's the only local place I can find broccoli. There salmon is so good too. I grew up going here with my grandmother whom was told she had leukemia and given 9 months to live, but she lived 18 years! Captain D's was the only restaurant she went other than her refrigerator . My husband was a food service director himself and I believe this place serves exceptional service in my opinion, because they go out of their way to do all they can for customers there may be an occasional bad day or days the cashier's, cooks and manager are more stressed due to staffing issues but there's way more good days than bad and out of two years I've had only one day here where the power went out and they had to close , knowing that staff changes constantly here there's one lady Jesse that has been there everyday during COVID while most restaurants have closed dining rooms in the area due to short staffing or past and present COVID mandates but she's still there listening to frustrated customers not knowing when the place opens or closes. The food is always hot and fresh the only problems I've ever experienced were long lines at the drive thru but with food this good it's expected , . I do miss some of the past cashier's but all past and present have been great since 2021 , here it's been two full years and I'll kept going here everyday as long as I know the staff is supported and the food stays hot and fresh. Their potato soup is great and it's also hard to find anywhere else local but I give this...
Read moreI paid $13 for a fish and chicken plate, not including the drink of course. I don't like fish, it was for my husband, so all I was eating was the chicken. Well I checked to make sure everything was right and the chicken, was not the usual chicken. It had a soft and rubbery feeling, nowhere near the usual crispy and crunchy breaded chicken that it was supposed to be. So I took it in and said it wasn't chicken and the manager informed me that they had changed the chicken about 3 weeks ago. And he went on to say that I would love it and he would see me back there real soon. Well hate to break it to him, but I won't be visiting Captain D's ever again, as long as they are selling that trashy chicken. It's disgusting! So I ended up paying $13 for 2 hush puppies and some fries! My husband ate one piece of the fish and that's it, so the whole meal got thrown away pretty much! I should've just got a refund right then and there but I gave it a fair try, even though the look and feel of it wasn't appetizing to me, and it was plain and rubbery. Just like it looks!! The manager said it was so good that he has one customer that comes in and orders a bunch of it at one time.. but that one guy must be feeding it to his dogs. So if anybody is going to Captain D's with the hopes of getting chicken, I hate to break it to you, but you won't be getting anything near what you will be expecting. They've changed...
