EDIT: because I cannot reply to the owners post. Obviously your staff is not a good enough staff if they cannot see BURNT tacos when they give it to the customers. How dare you blame me for not voicing my concern. I was already upset you guys lied about the reservations and the ramen. Did you really want me to make a scene about EVERYTHING there? Arguing back with people and their reviews are quite disappointing, that is why your restaraunt is so horrible. Also, you personally MESSAGED ME probably hoping I change my review, but I guess you are upset I never replied back because I'm sorry, you DO NOT deserve a second chance. Especially after commenting that comment to make me seem like the horrible customer. I apologize if you're upset, but I do not apologize for your horrible customer service. You argue back with all your customers, you argue back on some reviews asking why they go back if they complain, so that is why I refused to reply to you. And I am sorry but using my personal number I used to MAKE A RESERVATION to message me, no thanks. Also in your text you stated that YOUR RESTARAUNT HAD A FULL SHELF OF RAMEN, yet they still told me they were out. Also, they did not check on us 3 or 4 times. They were barely even out there to watch the customers. Youre professionalism is embarrassing. And my originaly review was me being nice, and yet you still got offended and tried to turn this on me. I apologize that I did not want to embarrass your staff in front of the customer that waited for 20 minutes for their check, even after their husbands left, and the pregnant customer that left because when she pointed out things in the menu, "it was not available." Or the three girls that came in and waited at a table for over 15 minutes while your staff talked at the register ignoring the customers. Sorry not sorry.

Original: The reason for the low stars, are the unfortunate events of giving the option of "rsvp" just to be treated like no one knew the existence of rsvp's, and giving the option of the "dine in special" that i rsvp'd for, which include 2 bowls of ramen, just to find out they only had enough for one ramen. Understandable, but quite upsetting due to the fact that I rsvp'd a couple days prior, you'd expect them to have what was specifically rsvp'd for, correct? It was still very nice of them to offer us extra tacos in replace, but that leads to the second reason of low stars.

Second, although the birria meat, cheese and sauce were quite delicious, I was a little bummed on my burnt tortillas. I felt like i was eating Taco shells instead of tortilla. And my last complaint, the tres leches cake did not really taste Tres leches. I felt like I was just eating a dry walmart cake.

I do understand they seemed to be quite short staffed, so I don't want to complain too much about service, but I just felt like there was no focus on the customers, during...

My my my we love love love Casa Aguilar!! We travel about 30 minutes to eat here because the food is SPECTACULAR! We are from Arizona and it is pretty difficult to find authentic food here. Casa Aguilar is the place to get our fix! Just make sure you have enough time because the location is extremely small and they are still trying to hire reliable/experienced wait staff. Once they get some better waitresses this place will be 5 stars through and through! Their fb menu is not the same as their menu in store. The one on Facebook has a ton of options as opposed to their menu in house which is very limited which is understandable if they don’t have the Staff to accommodate . Their menu in house is still phenomenal, just don’t expect what’s on their fb menu. With that being said I’ll list everything we have gotten so far. -The CALI TRAY….danggg so freaking good. It’s pretty huge so my little family of 3 usually eat it as an appetizer and let me tell you it’s almost gets us STUFFED! Their birria tacos are the perfect crunch and a mouthful of flavor…the consume get out of here!!! Sooo freaking good I could drink it! -California burrito, this is a family favorite! My 12 year old gets once for himself and my husband and I usually split it. It’s huge and let me say they do not skimp out on their meat. You have the option to pick chicken, pork or beef for all their menu items. -Hot Cheeto bombs…..holy moly sooooo freaking good. They are filled with whatever meat you desire as well as cheese and rice…rolled in hot Cheeto….served with hot melty cheese…DELICIOUS!! Their agua Fresca are always made homemade and packed with flavor and love! Make sure you put this restaurant on your bucket list and stop on by ! You will not regret it. As mentioned just make sure you have some time to wait because you will definitely have to, with that being said it is worth every minute because once you try their food you will not be disappointed.

I like this restaurant because of the "street food" vibe. However, I've tried this restaurant twice and they just don't seem to have a system in order.

The first time I ordered take out and went through the drive thru. Originally when I placed the order, I was told 20 mins. I drove there in 20 mins and had to wait an additional 45 mins watching the kitchen staff in chaos. But because it our first time, we were patient.

Today, I decided to go back and dine in. Our waitress was a young lady and as soon as we ordered our food (the Tuesday taco special) she walked away. We weren't done ordering!! I had to wave her down and told her to add on pupusa, and again, she began to walk away. I finally had to tell her, WAIT!!!! Then proceeded to place a to-go order. She never came back to ask if we needed anything or re-fill our drinks. Not sure we could even get a re-fill since we got some mango and pineapple fresca, however, she never stated that either nor did she bring my water that I asked for in the beginning. The food came out and we ate. The pupusas finally came out when we were done eating and I had to ask her to bag it to-go. I also ordered 9 tacos (3 orders) to go but she only put down for 6 tacos (2 orders). This is the WORST SERVICE I have ever had. I didn't even leave a tip. Yes, you read that right! Eliana, the other server, was great in her interaction with her tables and she did check on us one time but she was not our server.

I understand this is a small business and everyone is understaffed but timing of food and wait staff...
