Pelican's SnoBalls of Hickory — Restaurant in Hickory

Every time we visit family in Hickory we go here at least once.

It's a simple little shack in a small parking lot. There are one or two picnic tables, but otherwise you just order from the window and get back in your car and leave.

Pelican's Snoballs does one thing and they do it right. They have more than 50 flavors of Snoballs from the usual, like lemonade, grape, orange to pickle flavored Snoballs.

They are a beautiful texture too. Sometimes shave ice type desserts are very hard and icy, but here they are creamy and dense and...

I took my pitbull mix Bonnie (sweetest dog alive, has never hurt anyone in her life besides me when she steps on my toes) here, she got a chicken broth pup cup, and I got a butter beer snow cone. The people who work here are so sweet, even though the crowd there could have been better (told me about how a dog who looked like Bonnie bit his brother). Not toention that butter beer is a local flavor only available here. 10/10 would pup cup here...

It's a nice place to get really exotic snow cones! Try to go when they're not busy as it doesn't take much to be overwhelmed by their tiny parking lot. Rarely have I gone there and there isn't a few cars parked on the grass areas. But they have super nice people working there, and tend to have music playing at all times so you can enjoy their ice in a good atmosphere. On top of having picnic tables and corn hole boards ready...
