This trip to East Coast was OK. But that's it -- just OK. When we arrived we were pleasantly greeted and quickly seated. Given the fact that there were four or five people working the host(ess) station, this makes sense.
Once we were seated there was about a five minute window before our waitress was able to visit our table. In hindsight -- having watched the scene for those several minutes -- she had been struggling with the order placement computer for the entirety of that time. Nevertheless, during this time none of the hosts or hostesses check on anything. (We we're only two tables away from their station. A few of them were too deep into their phones to have a look around and tackle issues.)
Anyway, our waitress did win her battle with the computer kiosk and made her way to us. She was nice and seemed to doing her best, but she was struggling a bit. Perhaps she was new and didn't have the system down quite yet. Since we'd had plenty of team she took our drink and food order at the same time -- which is fine.
What we ordered arrived, and it was also fine. East Coast is a franchise, and the kitchen instructions are likely very specific. We've been here many, many times and ordered the same entrees. However, both my wife and I agree, they've been better in the past. Perhaps there's been a change in the supply line.
The one thing that really stood out is that I didn't see a single person who might resemble a manager. No one in a different type shirt. No one going through the restaurant checking on tables. Maybe they were short a bartender or cook, and the manager had to fill in in one of those locations.
As I said, it was OK. But that's about all it was. I won't be in a hurry...
Read moreTook my family here tonight and never have I been so disrespected in my life. Manger deleen (however it’s spelled) told my wife that “we have cameras everywhere and that we were trying to attempt a slip and fall all because my pregnant sister had to use the restroom and the floors were slick and being mopped and my wife asked what would happened if she so happened to fall (rhetorically). I told the manager I didn’t feel like what she said was appropriate at the time and she proceeds to say “well she was setting up a slip and fall”. Like really you think my sister carrying her 1st child would really want to fall down and kill her child possibly to get a check, REALLY???? Proceeds to come and touch my sister saying I will take you to the restroom, she says ma’am please don’t touch me I will use the restroom at Walmart. The manager sarcastically says well be careful at Walmart with a smile on her face and then after my sister already telling her to not touch her proceeds to keep touching my child’s diaper bag which is on my wife’s person and reaches out to touch my wife my wife tells her please don’t touch me. This is the most rude, unapologetic, in cohesive manger I’ve ever met. The way she dresses is in any relation to a manager. Even managers at McDonalds have there hair in some shape being around food and their shirts tucked in and pants to a good fit. She was the complete opposite of the what a manger should be characterized as. Really had to talk my wife and sister out of attempting to file for assault charges after not one but two people saying don’t touch me. In no way shape or form should a manager have to touch any parts of a customers body. That’s what...
Read moreI am thoroughly disgusted and embarrassed that I put so much trust in your restaurant. I ordered from East Coast Wings in High Point NC, Located at 1900 North Main Street. This is only my second time ordering from your East Coast Wings North Main Street. I am furious. I opened my celery and begin to eat my celery, I was sharing with our guest how delicious and fresh the celery was and I had already eaten half the bag, when my hand entered the bag to pull out another piece of celery; out comes a Band-Aid attached to the stalk of celery. Blood is on the band aid!!!!! OMG!!!!! Who does that. Comes to work with an open skin wound and works without gloves. You are disgusting!! I am going to tell everyone I know…. This is putting your customers' lives in danger. BLOOD ON A BAND-AID IN MY CELERY BAG. I expect a full refund. I expect you to send me my money back for the entire Door dasher receipt, which was $25.15. Every time we eat or patronize a restaurant we put our lives in your hands. Trusting you to provide clean, healthy food that will not make us sick, you failed at meeting all of those goals. Someone should have called me, not email, this is unacceptable. I’m going to the store to check your sanitation grade. I hope you do better. I hope this never happens to anyone else you serve, because this shows what your employees think about your customers or that they don’t consider us at all. You can provide an enjoyable eating experience, while making fellowshipping with our family and friends wonderful and memorable or you can do what you did last night and ruin a perfectly great dinner with friends. I was disgusted and embarrassed. DO BETTER...
