Tea Time Lounge — Restaurant in High Point

If I could give no stars I would. I came in during the covid crisis wore my mask and everything by the book. No one else was in there. I had never been here before and I was excited to try the ice cream. I waited for a very long time I ordered a bubble waffle with chocolate ice cream and Nutella drizzle nothing crazy. I told the girl at the counter twice what I wanted I did not get a receipt I paid with my debit card I stood there for a very long time finally got a box which I thought was weird and got back in my vehicle. I started driving down the road and I finally opened the box and all I got was a waffle. No ice cream. Rather than drive back for all of that traffic I called and asked if they could put my name down some place so that I could come back a different day and get what I ordered. The person on the phone said they were the manager and the owner of the store and they were extremely rude to me and basically told me I should be happy and just eat the waffle by itself. That apparently the girl didn't hear me properly and they must not have charged me for the ice cream. he could have just said yes I'd be happy to fix this for you I'll put your name down will correct the order when you come in I'm so sorry but none of that happened. I even told them that's not how you treat a customer. I am never going back to this place. I can't even give them a review on their food because I didn't get any ice...

If there were negative stars, that is what I would give. Granted, showing up on a Saturday at 8:47 pm with a four year old and seven year old may not be "ideal;" however, we are parents and we are human. My son had a late meeting with his camp at Cheerio and my daughter (four) and I were anxiously waiting for their homecoming. We had a phenomenal dinner together at Fuji Japanese Steakhouse, and the kids were thrilled to have an ice cream delighted dessert. Supporting local small businesses, we strolled right to what we thought was the ultimate ice cream lounge we could think of, "Tea Time Lounge." To our dismay, we were greeted by a less than courteous employee that stated "We stopped serving ice cream at 8:45 pm." Trying to educate such person to the dynamics of small business leadership, I responded "Totally understand that you may stop serving rolled ice cream or ice cream in general at 8:45 pm--however your sign should reflect as such." To my surprise, I was actually asked to leave. With the theatrics of such events, all I am trying to portray is that High Point is better than that and as small business owners, employees, and residents of High Point; we should partnership together as the community I know we are and build establishments that support the principles and integrity of...

My family and I have been regulars at Tea Time since 2015 when this place first opened and always recommend coming here. This place is a hidden gem. We love the ambiance, the menu selection, and all the different board game options. Playing Jenga here while we enjoy our dessert is so fun! This place is my go to for their coconut rolled ice cream and Thai milk tea. My friends and I recently discovered their frappes and I must say they are some of the best I have ever had. I have always had a positive and timely experience here. Sadly, today I found a fly in my drink and am highly disappointed since this place is truly my favorite. I took the drinks to go so I didn’t notice until I was already home. I called a few times but was unable to reach someone. I have always received excellent customer service here, so I will give the benefit of the doubt and not post a photo of my drink here.
