People with asthma or lung conditions beware! Smoking is allowed here despite there being a No Smoking sign displayed prominently once you walk in.
According to my server apparently it means that the three or four booths next to the window on your right side as you immediately enter are the no smoking area. The other 3/4ths of the restaurant you can smoke in. There is no division and even if you sit in the no smoking area there are several tables placed directly next to it where people can smoke. This is exactly what happened to me. I have a terminal heart and lung condition and cannot be around smoke and fumes. Even a few minutes of exposure can produce severe problems for me. None of the other guests seated around me were smoking when I walked in so this caught me by surprise when 10 minutes later most of them lit up. I was starting to get sick from it before I even finished my meal, which was eaten as fast as possible. If I had known this beforehand I would not have eaten there.
As for the rest of the review I am trying to be fair. The service was OK and the food was relatively good, at least a little better than Denny's as an example. The prices are good too with everything being inexpensive. I might return some time in the distant future but it will only be as a take out order.
If it was not for the smoking issue this would have been a four or possibly five...
Read moreEdit: May 18th, 2025. We used to love coming here for breakfast. We got there and it wasnt any busier than it normally is. My wife is pregnant (8 months) so she wanted to sit down and the only table available hadnt been cleaned yet. A waitress came and cleaned the table and we were seated. We waited 15 minutes before we had to ask to put in our order for drinks, and luckily already knew what we wanted food wise. We then waited an additional hour and 2 other families come in and get there food before we got fed up. While my wife was paying for only our drinks, the manager on staff asked the waitress with the longer brown hair (probably about 17 or 18 years old) if our order was put in. She very snarkly said, "I dont know, when people sit at dirty tables," and hand gestured to my wife, insinuating it was our fault.
I understand being new, but for the blatant disrespect and unprofessionalism, my family and I will not be returning due to one "dirty table" gestures to the new generation and girl who probably wont ever get anywhere in life
To the manager on staff on this day, thank you for your understanding and help to get our order wrapped up to go. Good luck!

Read moreWhile in town for the day my wife was craving breakfast food. Thought to try Slingers for the first time as the reviews were overall good.
The Slammers were good. The hash browns are ok, scrambled eggs didn’t have any seasoning so all we tasted was liquid eggs most likely poured from a carton, bacon was a great size but they place it under the gravy so you end up getting soggy bacon. For soggy bacon, it wasn’t bad. The star of the slammer was the gravy. Now I can’t wait to try their biscuits and gravy. It taste real and is really really good, like something someone would make at home if they didn’t make sausage gravy.
The pancakes had that good diner taste. FYI the takeout box doesn’t come with syrup but I was heading to a house that had syrup so I wasn’t mad.
The french toast also had that good diner taste. They weren’t overloaded with cinnamon or powered sugar. FYI they also didn’t come with syrup.
I didn’t give 5 stars as it was good but at $30+ I’d wish for better hash browns, eggs and to include syrup (especially if I were going to a...
