Hungry Howie's Pizza — Restaurant in Highland Charter Township

I just want to say how incredibly impressed I am with Mike from Highland Hungry Howie's! He really went above and beyond to provide excellent customer service! Last Friday, Jan 10th, I placed an order and when I arrived to pick it up, the lobby was full of people waiting which I had not encountered before. Although I arrived at the time I was told my order would be ready, I had to wait an additional 15-20 minutes in the store. It was really quite frustrating, especially since my husband and I had somewhere to be that evening. On Sunday, the 12th, I received a voicemail from Mike (who I assume is the manager) apologizing for the poor service myself and others experienced on Friday. He also let me know that I have a credit waiting for me the next time I order. This would've been impressive enough if I had submitted a complaint but I didn't. I am sure he made the same call to each and every customer that placed an order that night. Mike, I really, really, appreciate your awesome customer service! I also want to tell your staff that I am sorry for any impatience I may have displayed while waiting. I know that was not an easy situation to navigate for them that night and I'm sure they were all doing the best they could! Looking forward to...

A few days ago mid day I decided to get a quick lunch for couple co workers and myself. Key word quick, not so much. I ordered online and when I arrived 20 minutes later pizzas were not done. It's not like it was a large order or anything and they had zero pizzas in the "warmer" and not a single phone call or customer in the 15 minutes I waited in the store. Long story short half an hour to make two pizzas. When I was leaving the store thank I looked at the pizzas in the car. One was completely wrong. I mean everything about it was wrong. From type of sauce, toppings and crust flavor. While the other pizza had no toppings on the outer 1/3 of the pizza. Now today thought I would get a pizza on the way home quickly.... wrong again. About 60% of the inner 2-3 inches had no cheese or toppings. I wish I would of taken a picture I didnt think about it until after I had returned it. I really enjoy hungry howies and their flavored crusts but I usually dont give someone a third chance to burn me.. We shall see of I...

Constructive criticism.... They need more workers Which is hard to find with covid, I get it. But its also not the employees problem Definitely upto management or owner. I walk in on a Friday night to see only 2 people working obviously lookied stressed, 1 was also delivering pizza... It makes customers upset to wait, and makes employees stressed out, making mistakes and leaves no time for proper customer service. Also none of these issues of which I've ever encountered myself at this location. But when I went to leave a 5 star review to see quite a lot of negative reviews as well. Sometimes I feel badly for ordering from here when they are so short staffed in result not wanting to order again. Other then that I personally had greatly timed food and service. Always do.
