TJ's Express Gourmet — Restaurant in Highland Charter Township

I really wanted to love this food. It is close to home and therefore convenient. I had not ordered from TJ for quite some time and sadly was very disappointed. Having a cold, I decided to treat myself. I ordered chicken noodle soup, crab Rangoon and one spring roll. The springroll was hot but was just cabbage inside. Nothing else. Very bland. The soup was hot but not very flavorful and the Crab Rangoon was very soggy and was just cream cheese. No signs of any green onion or crab. I hate to give a negative review especially if a local place. But there it is. Just not good. I ordered online and it charged me $1 convenient fee....

I ordered the General Taos Lunch special and it came with an egg roll. I added shrimp Ragoon to the order. They serve very large portions, enough for two people. The chicken chunks were HUGE! Flavored with a traditional general Taos sauce with broccoli. The stir fried rice was ok. I really loved the fact that everything was served piping hot. I live 20 minutes away and it was still very hot when I got it home. The ragoon was a little sweeter than I am used to. But the egg roll was real cabbage which is another win for me. They told me after they processed my card that they didn't take it, but they couldn't give money back. It was a debit card so they could have given me cash, but instead said they could do nothing. The young man at the front was very rude, short in responses, and was very unhelpful to our questions about the menu. We are from out of town and were very displeased with the service and hospitality. We were there at 9 pm and they closed at 10 pm. They asked us to GET UP AND OUT OF OUR SEATS while eating so they could mop...
