I got the meatloaf dinner with Mac and cheese I wanted the yams but was told it would be about 3 hours before ready to serve really 🤦♂️ I guess I was there around 11 ish I can understand being fresh but I didn't want to wait that long the only reason I went to Risco's is because my sister had bought my mother a meatloaf dinner and I tasted hers and it was delicious 😋 I also got collard greens that was good mashed potatoes and gravy the rest of the food looked delicious the next I go back I'm going to get the black eye peas they looked delicious 😋 maybe try the fried chicken I have 1 complaint and that's the hot water cornbread it wasn't a nice size for me a little bigger than an vanilla waffer cookie and it was burnt on one side I received 2 of them and it also was burnt 🤦♂️ there going to have to do better than that with the cornbread a suggestion make corn muffins not burnt one's I will go back hopefully no one takes offense to my comment because if you don't know the mistakes you make you'll never know what needs to be corrected I thank you for your food and...

Something told me "Just walk down there and see what's over here..." I'm glad I stopped in there... The food smelled amazing, and I love some good soul food, with good portions that lasts until the next morning, and priced well... I ordered the meatloaf dinner, with mashed potatoes and gravy, greens and ordered a side of yams, and dressing... Oh yes GAWD! I sho'nuff did...! Let me tell you how warm, savory, delicious and fulfilling the taste of the meatloaf, paired with the mashed potatoes and gravy came together and aligned with the greens and followed by the Mac and cheese and yams... I hadn't had meatloaf since my great granny passed in 2015, which was the last time we made meatloaf together... A delight and joy of food heaven was served and gratefully...
Read moreMy husband and I were extremely disappointed visiting Roscoe's on Sunday7/14 regarding the way the food tasted and how I feel we were treated intellectually by them thinking we don't know how soul food should taste. The so called Hot water cornbread was horrible. It was not fresh in fact old as hell and I am appalled that they didn't think we were going to taste the oldness. The serving sizes of the sides were questionable and it was not good. I had dressing and yams. My husband asked for a smothered pork chop and a fried pork chop and the fried pork chop was an already cooked chop that was recooked. Did you think we were not going to know that?!
