Walker Bros. Original Pancake House — Restaurant in Highland Park

I really love the food and service here! Always a great place to relax, enjoy, and treat yourself. Their menu is so big, so many choices for breakfast and brunch, and also for lunch. Prices here are reasonable and fair. They also have coffee that is so unique and excellent. The food they have on their menu is all phenomenal. Walker Bros never disappoints. Worth visiting place. They are so near and easy to find. They got a perfect location because it is so near to different well-known places around the area. You can visit at their place in just a few minutes from your area. Their place is very welcoming, it has a great vibe and ambiance inside, it is so organized, and the most important is it is so clean from inside to outside. Very convenient. Perfect spot to grab some quality breakfast and brunch foods. Their pricing is fair and affordable. You can literally try everything you want without breaking your pockets. Place that is full of amazing food in such a great price. Really love the place of Walker Bros. Everyone that is working here is really nice, friendly, and decent. All of them knows how to serve and treat their customers so well. Also giving all the things that the customers might need in their kitchen like some extra condiments, water, etc. Restaurant with an excellent service. Overall my experience was really great and unforgettable. Love everything about this place from their foods, staff, and all. Will visit again when I am nearby! Thank you Walker Bros. I enjoy the long standing name and have had a few hits, but also they've missed the mark. Great potatoes pancakes, creative omelette/overall menu selection with good taste & service always on point and ahead of you in a positive way.

Downsides that bum me out for choosing to eat out this AM were... a side order of bacon entire three strips well overcooked, skimpy chocolate chips spread so sparingly on pancakes wreaked of frugality (come to mention it same with the ingredients in my omelette), and table water that had the hint taste of cleaning chlorine or such. I felt it would have seemed to them over the top to somehow politely say this to them and held back for not wanting to poss let others hear.

Future tip...These things make me have to ask 'extra chocolate chips, extra ingredients in the omelette' and avoid the table water.

Once again though location is great, parking easy, interior typical walker Bros dated, service always helpful, menu variety has everything for everyone. Long standing name, good...

The service at this restaurant was awful, the staff, except for the one who assigns tables, all seemed very unwilling, the waiters had zero knowledge of the dishes they offer, and the cashiers to charge you with the worst attitude. The reason for giving it 2 stars is because the food there is somewhat okay; I ordered eggs benedict, they were ok. They brought my coffee lukewarm, if not practically cold. The pancakes were super dry. Sorry not sorry, but I didn't leave a tip. They have too many people, but that doesn't mean their quality of service should be poor. I think it's one of those places that, since they already have a certain "reputation," nothing else matters. I don't understand where the great reviews come from; people lack taste when it comes to what good service should be, especially because this doesn't match the price or how they want to portray this restaurant.
