High Country Wine and Provisions — Restaurant in Highlands

This is an awesome tasting room. You can try wines from the owners vineyard in the Russian River Valley or from other places around the world. My wife and I went here for her birthday and did the “classic” tasting which was 6 wines from the owners vineyard in California. They were all wonderful but we especially liked the Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Took a bottle each home. High country is absolutely amazing and no words would be enough to explain, you just have to go and experience it for yourself! The wine selection itself is extremely expansive, there’s so many options to choose from and they’re all delicious! In terms of the tasting, not only was Seth’s knowledge on the selection extremely helpful, especially for someone’s first experience, but his personable attitude made the tasting even more enjoyable. We thoroughly enjoyed the wine tasting and cheese & charcuterie. The wines were exceptional, as was the service, and the outdoor seating was relaxing. I was intrigued by the story of how Mr. Davis named the Camino wine and, when asked, he was gracious enough to come share with us his experience of hiking the Camino Pilgrimage Trail!
