Margaritas were great and their patio is cute. Food was meh. My food (El Camala) was so salty that I couldn’t eat it. Like a literal salt lick- it was awful. Had my husband try to confirm that it wasn’t just me. The meat in my dish was all grilled- chicken, beef, chorizo, and shrimp. The only thing I kept were the grilled shrimp so I could put them in a tortilla to have something for dinner. They offered to remake, but I did not want to wait much longer as my husband was eating his meal. They charged me $12 instead of $17 for the grilled shrimp and 2 tortillas I ate. You could tell they thought I was being rude by saying it was too salty and I just wanted to keep the shrimp. I wasn’t.
We tried the new spot, but will continue to go to Vaqueros down the street. We would maybe come here to enjoy the patio...

I usually don’t leave reviews but El Agave definitely deserves this one. I hope everyone will support this business so we can visit again next time we are...
