I wanted to try a brand new restaurant with my family of 5 to celebrate my 22nd birthday. From start to finish I was completely disappointed in my experience. From the moment we got into the door, the place was extremely cramped and there was not a lot of room for us and the two families waiting behind us to stand while we waited to be seated. It felt as if I was standing over someone's table at a certain point. The host/waiter told us that while there was no seating inside the restaurant, they had a heated outdoor area for us to be seated immediately. Cool, sounds good we thought. We pass through a nice and cozy heated area right out of the door, until we reach our table. The heater is not on. We ask the staff to turn on the heater and come to find out the heater is broken. That would have been nice to know. So during our whole meal my family is freezing and shivering which made us rush to eat quicker and get back in the heated car. The seating at our table was also very cramped and it felt like people had to squeeze by to pass us which got annoying pretty quickly. I didn't know there was live entertainment at this place, but I found out the hard way. The music and singing were so loud to the point where I couldn't hear my family sitting right next/across from me. It got pretty annoying pretty quickly to have to shout the entire meal. My family of 5 ordered two appetizers the nachos and quesadillas which were tiny portions and definitely not sharable. There were 4 quesadillas and barely any chips! I ordered the chicken franchise and it was extremely bland and the rice did not taste good. My father who ordered the same agreed and was so disinterested he didn't even care to finish his meal. I also thought the chicken franchise was going to come with fries. My mother did not enjoy her meal very much either. My brother and girlfriend seemed to enjoy the sandwich they ordered, but did not care for their fries. The server did a pretty good job and was probably the only redeeming quality of this experience. Overall, definitely not a repeat visit and I hope my feedback helps the place improve...
Read moreMy family and I went there for dinner. The young girl who was asked to seat us seemed annoyed that she was asked to do so. She asked if we wanted seating outside or inside. We said outside. She rolled her eyes and said it would be about 20 minutes, as there was one couple ahead of us. So we said we’d wait. She rolled her eyes and sighed slightly. After a minute my 7 year old son even noticed her annoyance and said no we will go inside, as he doesn’t like confrontation or upsetting people. So she walked us inside. Before we sat I noticed 2 tables opened up outside. So I went and asked her if we could be take the second table opening up. She said no and that someone who showed up after us would be taking it, and that we had already been seated so we lost our place. I responded by saying it’s been literally 30 seconds and we hadn’t even sat down yet. It’s not like there was this long line waiting to get in, one couple showed up after us.!She shrugged her shoulders and told me she was giving the table to the other people. After a little back and forth she said “fine I’ll give you the table!” All while rolling her eyes and sighing. At that point we were completely turned off and took our business elsewhere. With rude little girls like that as a hostess it’s no wonder you were the only place within a 5 mile radius that had any seating available and PLENTY of parking available. We were looking for a new location for our company summer kickoff parties, and we’re using last night as an atmosphere and food tasting-so you can thank that young girl for losing that. I will spreading the word to avoid this place at all costs. We will also not be going to your sister location On The Deck ever again because of this...
Read moreI attended Off the Hook a while back and figured I'd place my review here as well. The food was pretty good. We had mozzarella sticks and a burger. Our waiter was so sweet and the view from the outdoor dining was incredible. The harrowing issue and the reason that neither I nor anyone that I care for will return is that the entire time we sat for our meal, there were two families at nearby tables that continued to stare at us. We were the only POC that I saw both inside and outside. The staring made us really uncomfortable, so we hoped our waiter would return really soon so we could pay the bill and tip them.
We politely tried to get the attention of another waitress, who didn't seem busy, to ask for our waiter. She appeared to be startled, which obviously wasn't intentional, but said she would do get them. Our waiter appeared, we tipped, signed the bill, put it back in the slip, thanked the hostess, and walked towards our car. Then, our waiter came and asked if we took the merchant copy of the receipt. We didn't and it wasn't windy, so we know it didn't blow away. While I can't prove it, I'd bet money that it was the waitress who we accidently startled doing something with it. That's incredibly disgusting and unprofessional to make it seem like we, the only POC, dined and dashed, all because we accidentally startled you. Intent matters and I sincerely hope that young woman gets the help she needs because that sort of response is unnecessary and inappropriate. It also left a sour taste in my mouth for what is could've been a...
