Juan Colorado Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Hillsboro

I just moved here a couple of years ago and I have been looking for a really good place to go to. I have tried multiple other restaurants, and yes, I would and do return to a couple of them regularly. They are at most just a little above average. I'm looking for a place that really takes the time to make sure I am truly satisfied and can be my go to location. We have to admit that there is no perfect location, because that is impossible. I did experience a couple of imperfections at this this location but they provide what I consider a perfect restaurant due yo any imperfections. I was greeted by a professional gentleman who made me feel important from the start. I asked to sit at the bar. Even though no one else was fitted there he allowed me to set up there. At first I thought thos may be a mistake due to I may get lost in the background. Thus wad not the case, I was checked on regularly and was never sitting waiting for someone to tend to me. I did have several requests that they more than willing to tend to. Even though I was all alone in the bar area I didn't fell totally alone. The only 2 down side I h ad was that I had asked for a Chicken enchilada on a flour tortilla. I received a ground beef enchilada on a corn tortilla. It was actually really good. One of the waiters came in and turned on the TV yo a soccer game that was in Spanish and the overhead mexican music was not clashing well. I would rank this establishment...

Definitely not a place I’ll visit again. If you don’t like the meal and ask for something else, you’re paying for both. Fruit flies. I smelled… mold? I don’t know for sure but. Man, they need to work on cleanliness and greasiness for sure. Lots of potential in the food itself, I hope management makes it better in the next years and maybe I’ll be able to return, customer service wasn’t bad, just the general service and cleanliness and greasy food topped everything off. For reference: I got the fish tacos, very greasy but great flavor can’t complain. Friend got enchiladas; I couldn’t find the enchiladas on her plate Food that was returned: shrimp salad. It was just a pile of shrimp and no seasoning, maybe good as a side? But he got a burrito instead because… well obviously that wasn’t what he expected. Burrito turned out alright nothing special but nothing bad. I just didn’t want to Karen out on them over being charged for food we didn’t eat so I’m out $12.

Just makes me a little sad that it wasn’t as good as expected, but my meal served it’s purpose at least. Too large of a menu for me to find anything else honestly. I really think the chefs would do great if the menu was brought down to ten or so...

Have been going here for years...they are not what they use to be. Wife and I usually go into the lounge to eat. We don't drink alcohol but can always get a seat right away and just like the atmosphere in there better. We have been coming here for years and had always had a pretty good meal and experience. Last night the wife ordered a chicken quesadilla and she received a cheese only one. OK we all make mistakes. I then watched a waiter come in from the main dining room and told the bartender he needed a piña colada and he watched him make it. Seriously...if you come here don't order any alcoholic drinks because you'll get about a thimble of booze in it. It was then that I started to notice a pattern...I started to think that they are skimping on everything in order to save costs and boost profits. Then I thought, "no that's crazy". I continued to finish my strawberry lemon-aid and set the glass to the side for a refill. I've always received free refills on this drink for YEARS. Waiter came by and said, "No free refills on this". Policy changed. Ahhhh....my suspicion was confirmed. Oh well, it WAS a good restaurant and we had some nice times in the past but all good things must come to an...
