I am not easily frustrated but tonight I was down right offended, frustrated, and shocked. I looked up the hours of this location tonight (1/26/19) and it said 11am to 12 pm. I am in the motel right up the street google said it was a 2 min walk. It was 11:48pm when I walked out and I crossed the street as I cross the parking lot I see 2 Hispanic males walk in the door. I get to the curb of the sidewalk in front of the resturaunt and the woman behind the counter looked at me through the window and proceeded to run to the door and as I was grabbing the handle she put her key in the slot locked it and shook her head no. Mind you at this point it is 11:51 pm. According to google and their own posted hours in the window I had 9 more minutes before they should have closed. I found this very unprofessional, rude, and racist (I am white). She went back to the counter and was joking and laughing with the other two men as she took their order which was interrupted all ready because she ran to the door in the middle of the first guys order just to lock me out. I may not have ordered very much in the terms of money earned but it still would have been money earned. I WILL NOT DINE AT NOT ONLY THIS DON PEDRO BUT ANY DON PEDRO EVER AGAIN. For future reference if you are white and it is anywhere from 15 minutes OR less until they close you might as well NOT even go because its a 50/50 shot you will be locked out because...
Read moreI use to love this place. Unfortunately on Monday afternoon I went there for lunch I ordered a carnitas quesadilla (never had a problem with them) this time in my last slice I found this. A rock or pebble. IN MY QUESADILLA!! I go to bite down & I feel the hardness & wondered what the heck?! then to find out it is a rock. I do not know how it would have gotten it in there. Maybe the quesadilla dropped on the floor (very unfortunate if it did) & they picked it back up & popped it back on the grill... I was already back from my lunch break so I was not able to go back in that day. I called them & let them know I found a rock in my quesadilla. They said to call back the next day to speak to the manager, they will be in at 8am. I then called at 8:10 am they said the owner isn't there... How weird right.. So that same day I head over & ask to speak to a manager (they should have a MOD) they didn't have one there who I could speak to... They said they have my name, phone number & receipt & they have it pinned against the refrigerator. They told me the owner won't be there for TWO WEEKS. Since I did bite down on the rock my right side of my mouth has been hurting. I went to the dentist on 8/29 & let them know what happened. So all in all I am just waiting to hear from someone in TWO WEEKS. So I did attach a picture to compare the size of the rock to a nickle. I will be contacting them...
Read moreI will preface my opinion of Don Pedro's with this statement. I eat at Don Pedro's, in Hillsboro, Oregon, so often that when I phone in my order for pick up, the counter staff immediately recognize my voice and and we exchange pleasantries, Then they let me know the ETISA (Estimated Time I Should Arrive) to pick up my order. That's right, I do not have to actually order. This preface should illustrate how many meals I have consumed from Don Pedro's. My opinion of the Hillsboro location, is comfortable. I enjoy being there, even if it's just waiting a few minutes for my order. I know without a doubt that anything from their kitchen is going to be tasty, cooked to order, and will satisfy my appetite. The portions arrive in quantity as well as quality. The best barometer for any eating establishment, is not only a full house during typical meal times. The place can be a mad house. It's when there is a steady flow of customers any time during regular business hours. This is my personal litmus test. Affordable, quality, quantity, hospitality. That is what I am looking for when I enter practically any business. What are you waiting for... Enormous breakfast burritos till noon.. $5.00 half a pound of food or so. Split one with a friend, it's...
