I’ve been a regular at this Starbucks customer for the past six months to a year, consistently ordering a Venti Frappuccino with extra whipped cream and two extra shots. Since I always pay extra for the add-ons, the baristas have always put it in a Trenta cup to make sure it all fits. That consistency was part of why I kept coming back.
On my most recent visit, the new manager flat-out denied doing this, telling me it was “inconsistent,” while she herself was being inconsistent with how I’ve always been served here. When I told her I could just go to a different Starbucks and get it made the way it’s always been done, she said she would call all the managers in the area to make sure none of them would put it in a larger cup either. Instead of taking care of a loyal, paying customer, she seemed more concerned with enforcing rules than providing good service.
What makes this even more frustrating is that both Black Rock and Dutch Bros put my drink in a larger cup with no issue—it’s not hard to take care of your customers. This just goes to show that Starbucks is more focused on squeezing every dollar than building customer loyalty. After all the money I’ve spent here, it may be...
Read moreCame here the yesterday 02/27 between 4-6pm ordered a drink that the barista enthusiastically recommended at the drive thru. Got to the window and tasted the drink and didnt like it, so I had to pay for another drink. Two other people in my car decided they wanted drinks too and so i ordered them at the window. Everythings going fine, the drive thru employee was really nice about it and then out of nowhere comes a female barista who makes a smart sarcastic comment saying is that all youre getting? I said yes. And she asked me again, is it really all youre getting? I said yeah. She asks AGAIN, and I look at my passengers asking if shes being rude, theyre shaking their head at her. I turn back at the window and ignore her and proceed to pay for the rest of my drinks. Starbucks used to have a good reputation for their customers but now you guys hire people like that and ruin the experience. Im a regular here, but it’s not happening anymore. Im taking my business to Dutch instead where I dont get jabbed at for wanting to order drinks like any...

I wasn’t offered any condiments— which they keep behind the bar now because it “keeps things cleaner”— or any utensils for my egg cups. I went to the condiment bar but nothing was out, so I had to ask the barista for a sugar packet which she gave me, but I didn’t know I had more than one option (I would have preferred sugar in the raw, but was given a refined sugar). I asked where the condiments were, and that’s when I was told they keep it all behind the bar so you can’t even see your options. I didn’t want to hassle anyone further by asking for a sugar in the raw, so I just accepted the refined sugar (regrets). I then got to my car and realized they hadn’t offered my sriracha for my egg cups (other sbux do this, right?), and was given no fork. As someone who has worked most of my life in customer service, I can say this whole deal was...
