I haven't been to Red Robin in years and wasn't quite sure what to expect, especially on a very busy Saturday afternoon. I was blown away. We were seated within 20 minutes, our server appeared to take our drink orders and served those drinks in record time. Our food was so delicious. The hot food was piping hot and the cold food was crisp and fresh and cold. The onion rings were amazing and even the kiddos liked them. My husband had the Harissa Salmon burger and I had the Veggie burger (oh my word I cannot even tell you how yummy) and the kiddos had mac n cheese 1 with fries, 1 with fresh apple slices, which they ate every bite of. My husband loved the Salmon burger and said it was tender and seasoned to perfection and my veggie burger was amazing. If you are a vegetarian you know how hit and miss veggie burgers can be, but this veggie patty was the best I have had, very hearty and flavorful, and they add crispy tempura mushrooms and garlic aioli that just takes it to another level. The portions were perfect, our server was very friendly and so prompt. I have no idea how he did it with so many tables but he was amazing. There is nothing more annoying than a server who may as well just sit down and dine with you or one that seems to have gone on break for 30 minutes and our server was the perfect balance of attentive and courteous. I really wish I could remember his name! He was tall with an awesome beard and was hilarious. The kids had a great time and we did too. We went back later at night on a Tuesday and ordered the same food and it was totally different, definitely a different chef in the kitchen, and not nearly as good (my burger was cool, not just room temp but almost cold and not nearly as flavorful and my husband's Harissa lemon salmon burger was clearly missing lemon, as in no trace of lemon flavor at all, and was a bit tough, kids food was alright but how can you mess up mac n cheese? Server was friendly enough but disappeared and we did not get fry or drink refills and we had to wait 10 minutes for a box which was an eternity with two tired kiddos. Definitely not worth the $60 we spent expecting what we had the first time.) but I am giving five stars for the excellent first experience we had because it was that good. I am a fan of small businesses, especially little hole-in-the-wall restaurants with family style food, fancy or not, but this large chain restaurant actually impressed me. When we go back we will endure the wait during their busy time to get the amazing food we had the first time. The service and quality more than makes up for it. So go when it's busy and try the veggie burger at some point, it will not disappoint! And Thank you to our wonderful server that Saturday for a fantastic experience...
Read more1/25/25:As always Tammy was awesome. She takes such good care of us. Shroom Burger (no bun, no onions) for my wife. Pizza (cauliflower crust, all-meat) for me.
10/20: Sunday brunch with my wife. She had the mushroom burger (no onion or bun) with salad. I had bleu cheese burger (no bun) with sweet potato fries. Yummy 8/19: Haven't commented the last couple of times so I thought I would this time. My wife had the crispy chicken salad with honey mustard dressing (1 of her favorites) and for me it was a toss up between the ribs and pizza. Decide on the Serious meat on cauliflower crust with a side of onion straws to sprinkle in top. As usual we sat in the bar, Tammy was very busy, but efficient and friendly as always. 6/16: Father's Day lunch. Smashed Avocado Burger for my wife and ribs with sweet potato fries for me. Ribs were excellent. Tammy treats us so well. 4/7/23: Had our usual good time here (we sit in the bar). As always Tammy was a sweetheart, excellent attitude and service. My wife had the Guacamole Bacon Burger with a side salad. I had the Avo-Cabo Salad. Both excellent 6/25/23: Tammy is the best. Same meals as last time (guac burger and avo-cabo) plus some sweet potato fries with honey mustard 10/7: My wife was. I had the Burnt Ends Burger. Pretty good, but brisket burnt ends weren't as good as I hoped (they were chewy). Next time I'll go back to my favorite, Black and Blue or Avo-Cabo Salad. 12/29:Avo-Cabo salad w/Bleu cheese dressing. Good as always. Good and friendly service that I've come to expect from this location. BTW, we always...
Read moreMy family went here last night to celebrate my niece’s birthday. She’s always celebrated at Red Robin and really wanted to go again this year, so we went. Wow, how disappointing.
First, the waitress was just not friendly, almost hostile. I first ordered a Cadillac margarita. I couldn’t detect even a hint of alcohol in it. Waitress was annoyed when I didn’t order another with my dinner and asked for water instead. Why pay $11 for mixer?
I decided on a make your own pizza. The waitress literally scolded me for not ordering correctly and attempted to school me on how to order. When she walked away everyone was confused as to why. They all understood exactly what I ordered.
When the food came the waitress actually struck me across the face with my own pizza! Had I not leaned back suddenly she would have done it again with my sister’s pizza! Everyone noticed it. Then the waitress disappeared until the end of dinner. Both of our pizzas were undercooked, but we ate around the middle because we didn’t 1, have a waitress who came by to check on us and 2, didn’t want our dinner to be after everyone else’s.
Finally, we had asked twice by this point, once upon initially ordering food, then again as we sat and waited for the birthday song. They just ignored us. We weren’t going to ask a third time. My niece was really disappointed, which frankly, pissed us off. It was just the last straw in a completely disappointing dinner from beginning to end.
I’ve never been to such an empty Red Robin. Now I know why it was empty....
