One of the worst experiences in a restaurant I’ve had in my life. I had never been to PE before. I’ve eaten it before but usually my work or someone else orders. I’ve never actually gone in. My parents are visiting from out of state. They decided that’s where they wanted to eat. When we walk in I see half the trays of food are empty but they said they have stuff currently cooking so, I don’t pay any mind. I asked the lady working behind the counter how I’m supposed to order and she just looks at me like a deer in headlights. I asked “which ones are the sides and which ones are the entrees?” She looks at me like I’m an alien. I explain I had never ordered there before and if she could please explain. She explains that the counter I’m at are the sides and the other counter has the entrees. We proceed to take my order. I asked for the steamed veggies and the black pepper steak sirloin. She asked “what other side??” I said “well is the steak the side since it’s on this counter where you said the sides were?” And she looks at me like I’m stupid even tho I’m asking a simple question. She stopped responding to me or talking to me and I was confused cause I wasn’t sure if she was continuing with my order or not since she stopped communicating with me. I finished telling her what I wanted and moved on. Didn’t know if it was right or not but I no longer cared and it didn’t seem like the 4 girls behind the counter cared either. The girl at the register wasn’t asking us if we were anted drinks or any other sides. She just asked if that was it and gave us a total. My dad stepped in and ask her to wait and charge for three drinks.
That was a terrible ordering experience and it looked like the people back there either didn’t know what they were doing or were all too tired to explain simple things to a new customer let alone offer a simple add on drink to the order.
We sat down, they callled out order. We were eating and despite the horrible service so far we were making the best of it. Since my parents were visiting we were taking a selfie as a remembrance that we went out to eat. I didn’t like the lighting of the photo so my mother and I turned around in our stools. I didn’t like the angle so I moved to the stool on the other side of my mother still at our table. The gentleman eating across from us 4 feet away then starts screaming about how he doesn’t appreciate it and yelled that I get out of his personal space. I assume he thinks I was taking a picture of his Brad Pitt looks (obviously joking cause he looked more like shrek) I Tell him I’m just taking a quick selfie with my mother so he can get back to whatever he was doing. He continued staring at us and then starts yelling at me at the top of his lungs “ARE YOU KIDDING ME, GETOUT OF MY SPACE!”. Even tho he was 4 feet away at another table. Everyone is looking including the staff and no one steps in to say anything. My father had stepped out to take a call and my mother and I just turn around embarrassed and in shock, we pick up our things & leave. So we had terrible service and got yelled at by a crazy person while no staff came over to check to see what was going on. I’m glad I never go in to order, that was an nightmare! I have gone in and had a friend order at the one in Beaverton square and the workers there seem polite and happy. Maybe it’s just this location where the employees...
Read moreI've been to this place a couple of times with varying quality of customer service. The first time I came here with a friend a few months back, the employees were busy & were short on some entrees. They stated that it will only take a few minutes to cook the entrees & asked if we were fine with waiting. We told them we could wait. We then waited for several minutes & then noticed that they finally had the entrees ready.
However, instead of getting our order ready, they just totally forgot our order & instead took orders for other people who came in after we did. We waited for a few minutes to see if they would eventually get our orders ready. Unfortunately, they never addressed our orders. Another person whose order was directly after me & my friend noticed that his order was also being forgotten. The three of us then voiced our complaints to one of the employees, who then apologized but took quite some time to get all of our orders ready due to a lack of communication among the staff.
When me & my friend finally got our orders, we looked through them before we left & found that they majorly messed up our orders. We then informed the employees regarding this issue, which took us even more time to wait for them to correct the orders. Me & my friend ended up staying there for at least 45 minutes total if not more for something that should have taken 10-20 minutes at the most.
Ever since that visit, I was very reluctant to order from that branch again. However, last month I decided to give them a second chance since I was heading down that direction anyway. The service was okay. They at least got the orders correct & didn't leave them out like the first time. However, they did still take a long time to get the orders ready compared to the other branches, even though they weren't as busy this time.
I've been to that branch 2 or 3 mores times since then, and the service so far has not been as bad as that first visit. However, the employees get overwhelmed very easily compared to the other branches. This location also tends to have the habit of forgetting sweet & sour sauce or teriyaki sauce, but they usually give you the sauce promptly when you inform them of the issue.
Overall, I'd say the quality of customer service at this branch is a hit & miss. Hopefully, with time, they will have better...
Read moreWow, this place is seriously a waste. It used to be halfway decent many years ago, but now, you have to watch your order like a hawk to make sure they don't forget things or give you a suuuper tiny portion. Here's what I mean... Tonight my husband went to pick up food for our family. It's hard to keep track when you're ordering a lot of meals, but it shouldn't be up to the customer to make sure they get everything ordered. So here's how it all turned out. The teriyaki chicken had zero sauce cup in the bag and none on the chicken either. The super greens, on their website it shows that it's like 90% broccoli with some kale and cabbage in it, yeah... Try 95% cabbage with a few flecks of kale and ZERO broccoli! See my photo of that one! The mushroom chicken was about three tablespoons of food with NO CHICKEN IN IT! Well, if you want to count the small sliver of chicken that I found in it, it had one piece. It was almost entirely mushrooms. What an absolute joke! I posted a pic of that too. Really disappointing.
Side note, I find it utterly ridiculous that they don't offer any tofu dishes anymore. They used to have eggplant with tofu that was so good! But now that is only available in California locations. Sorry, but that was a popular dish I wish they'd bring back.
However what difference would it make, with the downhill trajectory, it's only a matter of time before they have to shut down.
This place is not even worth it as a fast food option its...
