Mod Pizza delivers great tasting, built to order pizzas.
The employees at Mod are friendly and very helpful, always making sure you know how they operate if you seem unsure. For those of you who don't know, Mod Pizza has single-price custom made pizza. You tell them what size you want, what toppings you want and you pay one price for it (no matter how many toppings). The thing I appreciate about the staff here is that they don't overload the pizza with toppings, but they don't skimp either. If you ask for a little extra, they will of course oblige.
The inside is always very clean too. There is plenty of seating which is nice, and I have never found myself without a place to eat even on busy nights. There is outdoor and indoor seating, and in nicer weather they will open up the large door to the patio to let fresh air in. My only complaint about the facility is that it can get quite crowded when it's busier as the seating is packed fairly tight.
The food itself is great as well. I almost always get the same thing, but every time I try something new I am happy with it. The garlic dip sticks are really good, and I love their marionberry lemonade. One thing that I really enjoy about their selection is the variety of toppings to choose from. Many places don't offer roast garlic, asparagus, or asiago cheese with build your own pizza.
Overall, Mod Pizza is one of the best pizza shops I've eaten at. I highly recommend that you...
Read moreI have never written a poor review in my life, and I would never harass an employee, but if you get the guy with dreads making your pizza just come back a different day. I'm not even sure what to say. My pizza got made the shape of a football with 4-5 inches of crust because he only managed to get sauce and toppings on like 60% of the surface, most of some toppings ended up completely on one side of the pizza, and when he was putting the pepperonis he kept accidentally jamming his finger into the pizza making gouges and pushing stuff around. so there's big divots with no toppings (In one of the pics below). Then I had to watch his poor co-worker try to fit it into the togo box it clearly wasn't going to fit into, before she started sawing off the protective 3rd and 4th inch of crust with the slicer and some tongs, then eventually just gave up and smashed the lit closed folding the pizza up into the edge of the box. It just is not that hard to use your fingers to place things in a roughly even spread onto a circle. (+ now that I've started eating it I find out it's been overcooked and the crust is like...
Read moreDelicious and Caring Staff - Well, I work super close to this location at one of the buildings over by the Kaiser dental office. So I occasionally pop over here for a pizza once in a while. I went in a few days ago and ordered the extra crust chicken pizza. But I sat and waited for awhile, my order never came out. Eventually, I went up to inquire. Evidently, my order had accidentally been given to another party. While normally this might have upset a lot of people, I am rational enough to understand that it can happen once in a while; humans aren't perfect, after all. But what I want you to take away is this: I felt like the staff took my concerns very seriously, they redid the order very promptly and I got my order in less than five minutes. And it was a fantastic meal. The food is not only splendid, the counter staff are attentive and I felt like they really listened to my concern when it did come up. I really appreciated that and had to come back to tell them that. Needless to say, I will be returning many times more in the future to enjoy this refreshing spot. MOD Pizza, thank you...
