Angelo's II is located in a strip mall along Amwell Road on the post office side of the road. There's never a problem with parking and there are good seating options inside. Angelo's has long supported township recreation and has hundreds of photos of teams they've supported plastered all over the wall. It's always nice to have a local business support the town. The staff was polite and service was quick. The plain slice was pretty good, but could have used some more sauce. The cheese was rich and greasy and the base was very crispy. Crust was crispy as well. The margherita was very good, sporting fresh, rich tasting cheese. The cheese does have the tendency to slip off when you bite only a potion, so be warned of this. The sauce is very tasty and it seems that there are very thin slices of tomatoes on the pizza as well. I quite like this design because the tomatoes definitely add extra flavor, but aren't too thick to add too much weight to the slice. It should be noted that the base and crust were a tad well-done which can be seen in the picture. Overall, Angelo's makes some decent pizza and is...
Read moreSomething very "off tasting" with the pizza I ordered...Think the sausage was old and on the verge of turning sour...Took 2 bites of 1 slice and that was it...Ordered thru Doordash and they refused a refund and said to contact store directly...Tried contacting store and was told to contact Doordash...$25 for trash(which is exactly where the pizza ended up)... Will never order from this place again and will never use Doordash... I could get past bad food and understand if things happen and it's hard to be perfect all the time... but I will never excuse terrible customer service and all I wanted was a different pizza or a credit for next time I ordered and I would've been fine with that and wouldn't of felt the need to leave a negative review... I will definitely give my money to other Pizza places and delivery services going forward... And Angel should be grateful I'm not contacting the Board of Health because there was something definitely wrong and edible with my pizza... Hopefully no one gets sick because they got food...
Read moreBuyer beware! This place is very sketchy with their prices. For over a year I’ve been ordering the same exact dinner at least 3 times a month. Each time I get charged a different price. I thought I was going crazy until I confirmed with my credit card statements. There’s been a difference of over $3 and nothing calculates correctly with the prices on their menu. I have no idea what’s really going on, but one thing I know is that they are trying to get more money by charging more tax. Try it for yourself by doing a fake online order and checking the tax. NJ’s tax rate is currently 6.625% (multiply by 0.06625) and that is NOT what they are charging. I’d guess most people would not realize that this is going on and the business is pocketing the extra money from the naive customer. With the dozens of comparable pizzas places in the area, I will not be giving another cent to this...
