Another excellent take out experience at Applebee's Hillsborough. We choose thier over a slightly closer location because of the service. As a disabled who lives 20 mins away, getting quality food delivered can be a challenge. Even if u do pay the extra costs willingly. But the Togo people at the Applebee's, whether it be Jacob, or tonight's stars Matthew S and Yaz, they are incredible. We always call to make a change that isnt on the selection bc my grandmother foesnt eat fried food(fun fact, they allow my grandma to get coleslaw instead of French fries with her burger, and do it with a smile as opposed to an attitude) but today I made a huge blunder. I received a call mid order and forgot to put no onions on the burger. Were not exactly allergic, but raw onions being in an enclosed container for a 20 min ride can ruin it for people who dislike them. I called Matthew and then Yaz in a slight panic bc it was my Mom's meal and I didnt want to ruin her meal. They were able to essentially retake my order from scratch just to make sure everything was exactly as we asked for. And all this for a 10 dollar bacon cheeseburger that comes with a side and a drink. Hand made quality at a price that is legitimately cheaper than what the same would cost at McDonalds or any "meat product" establishment. These guys are great. Better Food, Better Service, Better Experience. I would also be remiss if I didnt mention the manager Angela. I was in post surgery rehab after a terrible accident and sometimes needed non hospital food. On one occasion a delivery driver literally stole my meal. She went above and beyond. The app people were giving me a hard time. Angela literally remade the burger and had someone bring it next door to me. From that day, I have made it a point to order from this particular Applebee's anytime the word burger comes up. Its a touching thing that I still will never forget. I haven't been out to eat yet. But when that day comes, believe this will be one of our first stops and I hope Angela is working that day. Thank u all. Matthew, Yaz for today and Jacob and Angela for repeated other times. As a former Friday's bartender I have to say, service like this is surely one of the reasons they remain open and ny former Fridays just recently closed...
Read moreWent there tonight for dinner for my birthday....let’s say if I could I’d give this place zero stars! Having the worst server ever! I’ve worked in the restaurant industry for years and never have I ever experience such a rude server. Waited about 10 min to be greeted coldly by her...ordered our food and no smile barely even making eye contact....we felt like a bother...our food came out my and my friends steak was over cooked but I can understand not her fault and couldn’t have it corrected because she never checked on us. At one point all the guests at the table had no drinks I needed to wave down a hostess to find our server....mind you the restaurant is empty...we finally get her get another round of drinks with an attitude like we are bothering her then she disappears again for sometime I then see her at the host stand talking to 2 gentlemen we waited patiently for sometime so we can wave her down for our check...we’ll i guess her conversation was too important I had to get up and ask her for my check while in still conversation with these boys....she then brought the check over and through it at me as I asked for two to go boxes....I was so furious at how I was being treated I demanded to speak to manager I complained and when the manger left to close out our check the server came back threw the boxes at the table and said “damn” with an attitude at us. My family and I are disgusted at the way we are we’re treated I just wanted a simple dinner for my birthday nothing fancy and this miserable unprofessional server managed to ruin it. The manger apologized for her and said she’s been in the fence for a while....why is she still there!? Her actions say she doesn’t want to be there then get rid of her because of tonight you have lost 4 customers that will NEVER go back. You would get better treatment at McDonald’s. Don’t have Carmella as a server ever! Read moreOne star for treating me so badly . I like the food of this restaurant a lot but their customers service is worse . I don't know if it is because of my south Asian origin. I stopped going there a long time ago . I have recently moved to new jerseys area and suddenly thought that I should enjoy some food here . But again too much bad behavior from employees .
Food comes in so late . Even those people who ordered 20 minutes later than me get food earlier than me .they just kept me waiting without giving any explanation .
My server told me that he would bring the bill . Then I waited long time and then finally become bored and then ask another employee but she told me that don't talk to me !" I am not your server " .
My server was no where while I need help or need to pay bill . Any other employees will not even reply politely . They will talk like you have made a crime by stopping there .
Don't want to write down more as I don't have word to describe behavior .
In America I did not face such bad behavior from any people but what the hack of all employees working in apple bee , their behavior is like that .
I believe employee is being paid by the number of customers being served and heavily depends on tips from customers .they are also underpaid . So, each employee will be busy with potential customers that whom they think will give heavy tips and will not car or spend a second for...
