Absolutely love coming to the Barista's Touch. First off, the coffee is out of this world. The owner, Anthony, really knows his stuff and takes coffee super seriously. Despite the seriousness of his product though, he is a very friendly and warm guy. The place is designed similarly to a bar, and it's a very communal space. Every time I go there I meet such wonderful people. There are more "private" type seatings like a traditional coffee shop, but the appeal of this place is very much in how good the coffee is combined with the friendly atmosphere. Very much in that elusive "third space" vibe you may hear that America is sorely missing.

The coffee is all very well made. There is a double RO system and they build their own water profile to ensure the best flavors. Everything down to the ice is custom for their coffee.

I'm usually a black iced coffee only guy, but I've been letting the owner pick for me whatever he wants - one of the few people I'd ever trust to let just go wild with my coffee - and I've never had a bad drink. Even the drinks I think would be sweet (and I hate sweet coffee) are perfectly balanced and never too sugary or too syrupy.

Elite shops amplify everything by sourcing top quality ingredients, starting with the water itself. For example, Anthony has a full reverse osmosis (RO) system in the basement that purifies all the water that goes into everything the prepare.

They also work with absolute precision taking notice of how different beans need to be ground and extracted slightly differently to maximize their unique flavors. Anthony's team takes this a step further by factoring in the shape and material of the what each drink is served it. The allows for the ideal aromatic experience and temperature sensation every time.

Finally, consistency is everyone's goal but when it extends to even the smallest details then everything I've said already becomes amplified to provide a simply unforgettable experience.
