We had a nice dinner at Frankie Bones. We sat outside in the covered area and the temperature was quite nice. The servers were quick, efficient, and friendly. Lucy was always ready to help us when needed. Though we made reservations, it seemed to be early enough that you could still walk in and get a table at 5:30 pm. As Franky Bones is located in a little shopping area with many stores and a few eateries finding a parking space isn't terrible, but could take a couple minutes at peak times. We tried the seafood stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer. I enjoyed them but my daughter wasn't a big fan. The table bread seemed to be a nice fresh French bread that was very soft inside and chewy outside. My daughter had the Crispy Calamari appetizer as her entree. The calamari was fairly standard but the tomato sauce was really good. My wife's Seafood Spaghettini in white sauce was pretty good, too, but not fantastic. Meanwhile, the Lobster Mac & Cheese that I ordered totally lived up to my expectations of excellence. The presentation was cute, too. Although it should have been called Penne & Cheese rather than macaroni, for obvious reasons if you see the picture. As for drinks, the Bee's Knees was horrible unless you like straight gin with a hint of lemon. No honey, no lavender... Just gin. They recently switched from Pacific Rim Riesling to Relax Riesling and I was happy with that. It paired well with the cheese sauce. The water tasted fresh with no funny smell. There was never any pressure to hurry or open our table and Lucy remained attentive to us the entire time. Overall we had a very nice dinner. It's a bit pricey but I definitely recommend a visit and the delicious Mac & Cheese.

Classy place for excellent seafood and Italian The restaurant is located in the classy Main Street shopping center. The exterior looks well decorated and neatly kept. As soon as you walk in, you know you are in a well-run place. The holiday décor is up (Nov. 30, 2016) and the place looks classy. The wait staff is friendly and knowledgeable. We were greeted right away and led to our table. This is almost December on a Wednesday night and the place is almost full. Clearly a popular joint. We ordered the Frankie Build (their signature meatball) for appetizer, the Cod and the Pasta Trifecta along with house salad. The meatball is smooth in texture and has excellent but subtle flavor. It's soft. The salads are fresh. The Cod is cooked just right, with an excellent firm texture but not at all dry. It's topped with scallops and shrimp in a creamy sauce. Again, the flavor is subtle and good. The Pasta Trifecta had homemade veal ravioli, their signature meatball, and Cannelloni. The Cannelloni and the meatball had marinara sauce on it over thin spaghetti . The ravioli had a marsala like mushroom sauce. They were all very flavorful and very fresh. The service was friendly and efficient. She came to us each time at just the right time for our meal. The dishes came quickly but not too fast. We would finish a course, had a couple of minutes to digest, and the next course came at just the right time. It seems my water cup was always filled and I didn't even notice the server filling it. This is an excellent experience. Highly recommended.

Don't visit Hilton Head without stopping by this place! It's on Main Street, but rather hard to find, sandwiched in between other sites. White linen tablecloths and sparkly mirrors & classic photos are everywhere, yet the place has a neighborhood feel about it. They have made the best of a small space and even though the bar is close to the front, it is separated from the entry beautifully. Our dinner party was in the back room. To get there, you basically walk around the bar area, which on a Friday night is full of nice people, chatting, eating, basically enjoying themselves. There are booths along the wall, which I love because it really keeps the noise at a tolerable level. Our service was not bad, but I did have to wait several minutes to get some water, then later the check. But our food was delivered quickly and was cooked perfectly. I had the chicken flatbread which in addition to the tender chicken also had roasted red peppers, arugula, pesto aioli and cheese. Best I've ever had! We spoiled ourselves with the Big chocolate cake after. New friends were made and I found another go-to place for my frequent visits to this lovely island!

First impression: it smelled amazing and everything on the menu looked good. It was hard to choose. Food: cheesey garlic bread was really good but definitely could have used more garlic. Cesar salad was ok. I did not care for the croutons. Kids spaghetti and meatballs were really good and a great portion size. Husband's food was good but he only took a few bites. The crab stuffed shrimp scampi was ok. The pasta was dry and definitely needed more sauce. Service: took way too long to order drinks and food and even longer to receive any of it. Apparently our food got put in after a large party so we had been there an hour and hadn't even seen our dinner yet. We decided to just have them pack up or food to go but it was ready so we tried eating. After a few bites we were just done and ready to go. Our server helped us pack up. We paid and left. I get things happen and it can get crazy when you are busy and have large parties but we also shouldn't have had to wait so long to even order our food. I've also worked in the restaurant business a long time and one thing I have learned is its not the mistakes the restaurant makes, its how they deal with it and try to make it right. If a customer is wanting to leave due to everything taking forever, a manager should have been sent over and we should have received more than just an apology from the server. We will not be trying this place again and I do not recommend if you have kids or if you don't want to spend 3 hours there. I'm definitely disappointed because my kids were really looking forward to the s'mores after dinner. We were there an hour and a half and didn't even...

We have been to Frankie Bones once before and the food was great and the experience was okay. This time around our server Don J. provided us with the most phenomenal experience. We are going to try and make it a point to be seated in his section in the future. He was attentive, friendly, and overall seemed like a great person. If you could clone him and have him run the whole restaurant I’d highly suggest it. Or at least put him in charge of training because these youngsters could benefit from his years of experience.

I never realize how much slower I eat than my boyfriend until we go out to eat at a restaurant. Don stood out to me because he did not immediately take my boyfriend’s plate when he had finished his steak and I was only halfway through with my shrimp scampi. Nothing is worse than when I’m the only one still eating, my boyfriends plate is gone, and the waiter starts talking to us about dessert when I’m clearly still trying to now rush through my meal. I could tell Don was experienced because he timed our courses perfectly. First we enjoyed a cocktail while we nibbled on some bread, then our entrees came, then we were able to enjoy our shared dessert; Perfection.

It seems like restaurants are trying to turn tables so quickly nowadays that you’re not able to finish your meal before you’re being shoved in to the next course. It’s starting to become a pet peeve of mine. Anyway, Don is the best waiter in this place. If you want to feel truly welcomed request to be seated with him. He’ll take good care of you and make you feel right at home. The entire menu is delicious here so you...
