I have been coming to HH for almost 31 years- my family owns property here in seapines and this has been become my second home for many years. I love dinning at Lowcountry produce and always think the food is great compared to other breakfast locations on the property but I am so tired of receiving cold food every time I place a togo order.

This morning I placed an order online and it gave me an eta of 10:07, I arrived at that time to pick up my food. As I approached the counter, several people were standing there waiting to pay. I was asked by the Latino girl at the counter if I needed any help and I mention I had a togo order under my name. She told me it was not ready yet.. that's fine as I noticed they were busy. I then waited 15 more minutes which was approaching the 40 minute mark since I had originally placed the order. I noticed several to go orders were behind the counter and had sat there since I had been there for 15 minutes.

Another girl behind the counter asked if she could help me, I also mentioned I had a to go order.. she asked my name and I gave it to her all to find out my order had been behind the counter THE WHOLE TIME. I just knew my food was cold.. I got home and sure enough it was ice cold, so cold I couldn't even eat it.

I am so tired of play $20 for breakfast there and always leaving disappointed. As a previous waitress, I would be embarrassed if I continued to let my customers leave with cold food. It is so unacceptable and the staff/ manage need...

Amazing food. But watch out for merchant fees.

Menu is unique. GF bread available for sandwiches and french toast is a big win. Food arrives even more delicious than you hoped.

Service is young, but always kind and competent.

However they recently started passing the merchant CC fee to their customers. My bill came to me at $87, they took my card, brought it back for tip, and my new total was almost $92. A charge labeled, "credit/debit charge" was added to bill. When I inquired, I was told the owner didn't want to pay the fee anymore, so he told them to start adding it to customers' bills. To be fair, when I looked back at the first tab, it did note at the bottom that CC transactions would incur a 4.8% fee.

So I brought you my business, had a bill of $87 for breakfast, and then I have to pay a fee to pay you?

Merchant fees are a fee for the business. It is a service fee they pay so they can have the flexibility to accept the most common form of payment- credit cards! Without that service, their sales would tank.

Very bad business manners. Raising menu prices slightly would be more palatable and proper than tackily slapping an extra fee on my already HIGH bill- a fee that is 100% the responsibility of the business.

Either I won't be back, or I'll go through the inconvenience to get cash out just to go to this restaurant. But the latter...

In Hilton Head for.the first time and Googled a breakfast location. The pictures were excellent and the menu looked inviting. Upon arrival we were warmly greeted and seated. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. The store has very unique items to purchase and provided a great mini-tour before our food arrived.

Our food arrived quickly and with an ample amount of condiments. The berry compote and strawberry jam were excellent on the cheddar cheese biscuits. My wife ordered the Salmon and Eggs and it was delicious! The omelet was large. I had the Lowcountry Breakfast, a local favorite our waitress said. The skillet potatoes are the best I've had in a long time. All of our ingredients were fresh and the bacon was a meal in itself...thick slices cooked just right.

Hint: If you come to eat just flag someone down because I noticed many locals and tourists come to shop or grab to go orders. They also have great outdoor seating.

Talked to the manager and he was gracious enough to give us inside info on what to visit on our last day here and what to visit on our return. We will definitely come back with enough room to carry the canned (jars) of items to carry us over until next time.

Added benefit: music selection! Thank you for an...
