We are locals and wanted to support this restaurant. They really do not care about their business. Food was average but super expensive. French toast was raw in the middle. Biggest issues were service and management. We arrived at 10:00 on 7/5/2025. We ordered at 10:15. Service was slow and very little follow up (coffee refills, how are you doing, etc. ). We were a party of 4. Two large parties of 8+ came in and ordered after us. Both got their food first. After 45 minutes we complained to the waitress who said that the kitchen was slow. I found a manager. She was no help, made no apologies, tried to tell us the two large parties arrived before us, etc. Said our order had only been in 31 minutes not the true 50 by this point. So, I asked the waitress point blank if she delayed entering our order. I told her what the manager said. She said she entered our order immediately and that the order had been entered at least 45 minutes ago not 31 minutes like the manager said. She specifically said the manager was not being forthright. So one way or another somebody, and in my opinion, the manager who was unhelpful to say the least, flat out lied and offered no apology at all. To show you the extent of how much these people care about their business, I left my number and asked that one of the owners contact me to discuss the issue before I wrote any review. I assumed they would want to know what our experience was, and that their manager was not a good representative of their company. No contact. Obviously, they have opened a business and could care less how they handle their customers. This place will not be around in a year and frankly, good riddance. Don’t waste your time and money. Over $100 without any alcohol for four people for breakfast, 50 minutes to get the food and...
Read moreAs first time goers, I understand why this place wasn't busy on a Saturday morning for breakfast.
We arrived around 830, place is empty so im like okay cool, breakfast is gonna be hot and fresh......THE LIES I TELL YOU
First to have an establishment that serves breakfast and the coffee list is trash is strike one. Second, I ordered the Belgian waffle sweet breakfast. I know the difference between a frozen waffle and from scratch and mine was just that, along with it being over toasted. Plus being just overly sweet made me enjoy my bitter coffee. There was discussion about my side with my meal that I got to hear from my table. Clarification is key, but lets not be loud in an open kitchen setting. Thirdly, my husband's meal was beyond horrible. The breakfast potatoes were the same color as my plantains, with no flavor, just a puddle of grease. The omelet wasn't giving egg, more like a fake refrigerated powdered mix. Again no flavor with a greasy, fatty mixture of meats and veggies on the inside. Let's just say, he didnt finish his meal at all. Again, the server was great. She fixed the issue with my side and got the breakfast bs off of the bill. But what disappoints me is the amount of laughter that took place after she told them about the doggie slop that they were so proud of on the plate.....remember it was a masterpiece??? Needless to say, as first time vacationers, we'll find other breakfast...
Read moreThis was our first visit to Nala's and we really enjoyed it! The restaurant is nicely decorated and super cute. We sat at a high top in the bar area so we could watch the football games. The bar area in general is great and we would go back just to have a drink and some appetizers while catching a game. Our server was also kind and attentive. He provided recommendations and answered questions we had about the dishes. We had several different items from the menu such as the whole fried fish and burgers. Everything was well prepared and came out nice and hot. The portions were very generous and we definitely had leftovers. I'm a sucker for a well-seasoned burger and Nala's didn't disappoint. The platter that was served with the whole fried fish was a meal in itself! The happy hour appetizers were fantastic and the plantains were our favorite. I like where they are going with the menu in having a little island flavor built into their dishes. Overall, we found this to be a very nice, casual atmosphere that caters to all types of groups. The restaurant has a beautiful outdoor area that we are looking forward to coming back to! They are very dog friendly and had a nice grassy outdoor area and pet station. This is such a nice addition to the neighborhood and we look forward to visiting during some of their...
