12/21/2024 = A friend from the neighborhood reached out asking about wines for Christmas. I suggested a little wine tasting rather than taking my word. I only drink red in case someone reads this and says, what no blanc. I purchased a few bottles for the tasting, two Pingus PSI Ribera del Duero and one Miners Merlot, so not to overpower their dinner. Great assortment of cheese, and purchased six different types. Fontina and Machego are a couple of my favorites. Wine tasting was a blast, but will not post pics, since I already had some at home. Staff was available if I had questions, and Rollers seems to carry a unique wine selection where most wine shops in the same area are very similar as far as inventory. I guess it is all about distribution.
Visited a couple of weeks ago. I am unable to write about the wine and spirits. The only purchase from that category was a pre-mixed bottle of Bellini. I was in need of something smooth and slowly removed the cobwebs from the previous evening. Now, back to the main purchase. I am preparing for a couple of major college games, so I stopped by Saturday morning to determine if it was too late to place an order for a charcuterie platter. The games start around noon, so this is last minute. I had a conversation with the lady working in that area. She is excellent and inquired about food allergies, any type of cheese or meat that really do not care to eat, along with types of crackers. These questions are right in my wheelhouse since I have celiac and must maintain a gluten-free diet. Very accommodating, and by 12:30, I was picking up the large charcuterie. Everyone loved it and asked where I purchased. Should be several of them ordering charcuterie boards soon.
I plan to return in the near future and possibly check out the wine. It is a little difficult to buy wine, especially with several hundred...

Con's: Nearly all of the beers do not have any prices listed anywhere. When we asked about the reason we were told the beers get sold too fast. They don't have that big of a beer selection that it would take more than at most 30 minutes to put some price stickers on the beers. Someone definitely takes the time to enter the beer prices into the computer system at checkout, I am betting they could find a way to take the time to add prices on the beers. The first time I stopped in I was perplexed by this, but they do have great beers I wanted to try. The second time it was just annoying when I went up to the register and had to pay 20 bucks for my 4 beers. I'm not asking for lower prices, I am asking for transparency. In addition, they have a tip jar at the register with a sign saying tips are greatly appreciated. I will gladly tip for a service provided, but there was none. The lady today only said the total and which machine to swip my card on, not even a hello. These things combined left a bad taste of shady to me. This business model is clearly working for them, but it doesn't for me, and I will not be back.
Last note: the other location, in Coligny plaza, is way less pretentious and I had excellent service when I stopped in there for wine prior to visiting the other location. The lady in the Coligny location really knows her stuff and was very down to...
Read moreThe store is very nice, I walked in, went to the right into the spirits side. There was one gentleman at the register. He never acknowledged me. I said hello and he did respond. As I brought my purchase to the counter, not a word was spoken. I paid and stated thank you and wished him a Merry Christmas, then he replied with Merry Christmas and asked if I wanted my receipt. As stated, the store is very nice, very organized and it is easy to find what you are looking for. If you are not sure what you are looking for, you may find it by signs distinguishing each section, which is good because I do not know if anyone would acknowledge you if you needed assistance. I did not enter the wine side, however, it appeared very nice and well...
