Hilton Head Phone Repair — Local services in Hilton Head Island

Update - it’s now been 7 months and my request for Hilton Head Phone Repair to make the situation right has still been ignored. You don’t want to get involved with a company who puts non-Apple parts in your phone!

Update - It’s been 2 months and my request for Hilton Head Phone Repair to make the situation has been ignored. Installing non-Apple components in an iPhone after saying it was authentic Apple parts should lose their license as an Apple repair station.

I had high hopes for a successful battery replacement for our iPhone 12s. The experience in the office was great and they returned our phones within a couple of hours.

But after that it’s been all down hill. They show on their website they are Apple trained and certified. They told us they used only Apple replacement parts. We got the phones back with an error message that the battery was not an Apple product AND the battery health reading g was not working.

I asked and I was told it would go away in 2 weeks. It didn’t. I looked further online and this is a common problem with repair places who don’t have the tools to reset the battery serial number. So not only are these guys not certified they don’t have the tools to properly service iPhones.

So, three weeks later they are unresponsive and my phone battery dies by noon. My recommendation is to not use their service.

Update 5/12/23. Your response is not a sufficient excuse for using non-Apple parts when you said they were Apple parts.

I was on vacation and had water get into a phone and took it here for repair— they were very reassuring that the phone was fixable and kept it overnight to repair it . I picked it up the next day after they called and said it was ready— the lady working even said it was fine and fixed when I picked it up. We got back to the condo and it started glitching and was actually worse than before — I called them and they refused to refund any money, but said I could mail it back to them to work on again for potential extra costs, since we had to leave to go back home. We paid close to $200 to this business for a service that did not work — and they had zero understanding and flexibility. I didn’t even expect a full refund because i understand they have a set assessment fee and possibly the cost of any parts — but there should have been a discount offered— that’s just being a good business. They kept reminding me of the “bold print” on the form I signed with no concern whatsoever that the phone still was not working — well, bold print or not, you shouldn’t have to pay a full price for a service that didn’t work, especially after misleading the customer that the phone was fixed. I would never recommend this business to anyone — and will be discouraging everyone I know not to use them — they have a monopoly on the business in Hilton Head and they...

I walked across the parking lot, senses tantalized by the island sun warming my skin, the enthralled voices of local diners satiated by delectable food, the salty wind breezing into my nostrils. I felt hope, hope that embodied every fiber of my hylomorphic being, that my iPhone 11 phone screen would be fixed by Hilton Head Island Phone repairs.

I walked briskly up the wooden steps, my footsteps lightened by the energy of the surrounding atmosphere. Reaching the door labeled Phone repairs I paused. ‘Behind this door, lies the next chapter of my future. One that would put behind me Siri texting for good.’ Overly optimistic? Perhaps. But knowing this was an Apple Certified technician, I felt safe entrusting a stranger with this heroic task.

I opened the door.. I walked down the hall. When I came to the technicians office, saw his workbench filled with delicate instruments to which his trained hand will heal the wounds I inflicted upon my phone screen, my optimism was further encouraged. There is something about the sight of a busy, honest workspace that harnesses true character one can trust.

My trust was not broken. My phone was fixed to perfection.
