Church's Texas Chicken — Restaurant in Hinesville

I was so excited for this location to re-open as they had been closed for renovations for quite some time. Upon opening the door the first thing that I smell is definitely not chicken...The smell of Mold and Mildew overpowered the restaurant. I didnt see anything remodeled at all, just a crappy paint job, ceiling tiles were all water stained, the kitchen door was opened and the base of the fryers looked like they haven't been cleaned in years. I wanted to leave but my husband said we were there already so we ordered. I ordered a 2pc white meat and my husband ordered boneless chicken meal. After waiting in the lobby for over 20 minutes the food doesn't come out to our table.. noooo....they yelled out your food is done and leave it on the counter. No apology for taking so long, nothing. The 2pc which was the supposed culprit for the wait, was not fresh, it was dry and what was supposed to be a chicken breast, was a joke...the chicken wing was 1.5 times bigger than the breast. The fries were cold and dry. The only thing that was good was the mac n cheese. I will never go back again. The health department needs to re-evaluate opening this establishment as there is 100% a Mold issue, you cant miss the smell upon entering. Good luck to...

If I could give absolutely zero Stars I would but it requires you to put at least one so I guess that's what I have to do, I have absolutely no stars to give to this establishment I stopped in for lunch and got a couple of meals got home to open my meals the chicken taste like it's been sitting out and it's been cooked in old grease the okra was okay not too much to be said there and then I had to order a mashed potatoes and gravy so I'm eating my mashed potatoes and gravy and the first bite is okay and then I'll take another bite and I taste macaroni and cheese and it tastes gummy in the texture so I start digging through it and I look and sure enough there's mac and cheese at the bottom of my mashed potatoes and gravy but also there is some brown goopy stuff in it too that was not gravy I don't know what kind of mystery sauce or whatever was in my food but I tried calling the restaurant back over and over again to get no answer so I can let them know that this has happened so I can probably either get a refund or get a replacement meal right now at this point I don't even want the food I just want my money back but at the same time keep the money I don't care no more that's how mad I am I just want to move on because this is...

Hard, dry, and unseasoned. I tried it on opening day and had to call corporate. Order was wrong but I didn’t make a big deal out of it. I order a mix and they gave me all breast, which I didn’t realize until later but the line was so long and it had already been an hour or so. I look at the receipt and was rung up for something totally different. Fine, someone tastes the chicken says it’s bad! I go to taste it and soon as I bite down on a piece, it cracks a molar. I got ahold of a piece of too hard fried chicken. A $40 meal for the household turned into an emergency dental procedure and hefty bill the next morning. The okra was burnt. The mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese tastes like KFC. The chicken is not worth anything. There are much better chicken places in the area.
