Huey Magoo's Chicken Tenders - Hinesville — Restaurant in Hinesville

Update: Been a few times. Definitely like their Magoo Sandwich and Watermelon Tea. To the owner, Please stick with the Honey Mustard that is a little thinner and more mustard than honey that you had on opening day. I think it’s way better than that sweeter thicker honey mustard that you had in stock when I was there a few days ago. The honey mustard and Watermelon Tea is the main thing that keeps me coming here vs going to Chick-fil-A or Zaxbys.

Went Opening day around 4pm. A few things worth mentioning. One the inside of the restaurant is super small only enough room for maybe 5 tables. I ordered the chicken sandwich and my friends ordered the chicken plate. The chicken plate had very small chicken fingers. The chicken fingers they used on the sandwich were bigger also more breaded. Their in house sauce tastes exactly like Zaxby’s to the point if I put side by side I honestly couldn’t tell much of a difference which isn’t a bad thing because that sauce is still great with chicken just worth mentioning. I got their honey mustard for my fries. Their honey mustard is a little more mustard than honey and tastes like they used stone ground mustard but all and all I really like their honey mustard. Also worth mentioning apparently the 5 piece comes with coleslaw and the 3 piece does not which seems odd but one of my friends ordered the 5 piece got coleslaw and the other ordered the 3 piece and did not and when asked was told it doesn’t come with. Not sure if this is correct information or false information but it was the opening day. Finally the watermelon tea is good, not to sweet for the batch I got almost takes like they may have used unsweetened tea and let the watermelon add the flavor and sugar. Prices are a little higher for the type of restaurant but with inflation seems like everywhere is going up. Nice location in Hinesville and plenty of parking if you had to park in the Kroger area and not a far walk. Overall would recommended if you like chicken. I like to eat at this place a lot, the food is really good. However one of the general managers isn’t. Yesterday I came by to pick up food I ordered online and a general manager by the name of April came by and asked my name. I told her and showed her my order receipt and she told me that someone supposedly came by already, told them my name and took the order already. I found that hard to believe because my full name is way too specific, and my guess is that she either forgot to make it or she didn’t feel like making it. regardless I was understanding. I then asked could she remake the food since it was about 15 mins until closing and by her logic she pretty much gave it to a random person. and she said she couldn’t. then I asked for a refund and she said no to that as well. I’m very understanding when mistakes happen but my problem is that she didn’t even attempt to try and fix it. It just seemed like she didn’t feel like working or something, which is fine but people who spend their money here shouldn’t have to deal with someone who doesn’t wanna provide or fix the service that they paid for. We ate there on Sunday 8/11/22 in the middle of lunch rush. The drive thru wait wasn't bad at all and the line was pretty long. We ordered the breaded tenders with buffalo and the breaded tenders with garlic Parmesan 😋😋😋😋 They were really yummy. The fries are the fat zaxby fries and the toast is the thicker cut texas toast, both were very tasty. The ranch dressing, chocolate chip cookie and the peanut butter cookie makes me want to slap your momma (not mine but yours😆) HOW THE EVER, the review takes a turn for the worst😩 The grilled chicken tenders were good BUT the lemon pepper seasoning🤢🤮 it literally taste like lemon juice out of that green bottle😞 Lawd and the cole slaw😤😠 Please take it off the menu right now😓 For now I'll have to rate this restaurant B-
