I always reach for that part of me that am very proud of. Hispanic Latina bilingual roots.
Having roots that appreciate Spanish music, food and culture makes visiting the Rodeo even more unforgettable.
Rodeo located in the main thoroughfare of Hinesville very busy and very accessible, you cannot miss the main stores that are within walking distance and obliquely opposite each other, such as Old Times, Walmart, and many more.
The rodeo is an excellent choice for dining, and get together's. A table for 4, or 2 meets you with the utmost serving importance. My first experience was such, the waiter was a young man called Chino who was very attentive and friendly to all our needs, he waited on our table of 4.
Rodeo's main attraction is their painting and customer-made furniture, where the Mexican mark was very visible everywhere. I had to ask many questions about the origin of those furniture pieces Who made them? what is the cost? if ordered how long will it take to arrive? And finally, I asked to take some photos and was helped by the Ladies at the front of the restaurant who offered to take these photos that you see here.
How would I be a true testimonial if I forget to describe the Most delicious menu to you, those that are reading as I penned my most precious thoughts and observations as I seek to describe to you. and take you into the Rodeo experience with me. By now you are very curious and drawn to Rodeo with so many details at your fingertips. Are you ready to experience the Mexican cuisine equally as we did, so away you go if you're close to Hinesville?
When the FRIED ICE CREAM was brought to the table, once again I had to smack my lips, the crunchy shell Cold thick hard sweet ice cream In a brown shell, the secret was out and I savored every spoonful. Then there The menu was very rich with enchiladas made with chicken, and beef. A salad of chopped veggies and sour cream, taco sauces and not forgetting the aroma spices óf hot and spicy, jalapeno and dried peppers weaved into the meat, Carne mollido. I ask Maria because Chino had left his shift, in Spanish, Como te llama Ella me dijo, me llama Maria. As she served up the fried ice cream we chatted a bit about the restaurant and its great ambiance, while I notice the list of music artists that perform At Rodeo. With the taste of the flavor of the food still lingering on my tongue and Musica Mexicana playing in the background, we made our exit from the restaurant to an overcrowded car park as people brush past us, only to wait to be seated also those with disabilities with walkers and walking sticks are very comfortably accommodated.
the entire dining room and bar were so beautifully decorated we were reluctant to leave. My eyes inspected Every piece and I was especially touched by the love for their country and how this Mexican Restaurant conveyed that love. te Quiero mucho Lo Mexicanos
As you into your Guacamole dip and taco shell and fried ice cream remember to google first. Do that Google search know the details, don't be caught by surprise A good times cost and good food too.
Let your fingers do the work.

Read moreI'm a combat vet with mobility issues. Takes a lot to leave the house after a week at work, but wanted to treat my family to a friday night dinner at Rodeo Mexican Restaurant.
7:30pm. I requested a table for three. Was asked to wait 25 minutes. After 30 minutes of waiting I noticed people who arrived after us being seated (seven total). Pointed it out to the seating clerk, who didn't even apologized.
8:00pm. We were offered a table. A young couple who came after us sat across. In a matter of minutes they had drinks. About 10 minutes later I asked their water if we could have a waiter.
Two minutes later our waiter shows up. We all asked for water with lemon (no drinks). Took 10 minutes for that. Another 15 minutes and waiter shows up to ask for orders. By now I totally have lost my appetite, yet want my guest to have a meal. The young couple are enjoying their meal.
8:50pm. The young couple is half way done with their meals; no food on our table. I noticed how the seating clerk, the table cleaners and other workers keep looking at our table...
9:00pm. Got up the table, asked my guest to stand up and were about to leave when I see the seating clerk looking at our table with what seem a smile on her face.
I asked for the manager and gave him the professional courtesy to compliant in Spanish as I didn't want to cause an embarrassing situation in English at his lobby. The seating clerk look surprised; dont think she realized I was Hispanic. I immediately left the restaurant. I know what social profiling is...
Went to Apple Bees instead. Seated by 9:10pm. Eating a nice hot meal with my family by 9:30pm. A very attentive waitress. I felt welcome and appreciated. Apple Bees knows how to professionally treat a paying customer. We gave the waitress...
Read moreLiving in Southern California for my entire life up until 3 months ago, I have been on the hunt for some good Mexican food that reminds me of home... This place was not it. I had high hopes upon opening the menu and seeing their story about coming from Santa Ana California and I was like cool, this should be good! I mean some of the best Mexican food I had was in Santa Ana. Well sad to say I was bitterly disappointed. This was nothing like mexican food from home. It had flavor, but if I wanted ground beef enchiladas and burritos I could have spent less and just went to taco bell and been just as satisfied if not more because at least burritos from taco bell have lettuce and tomatoes etc inside... No shredded beef tacos (my fav) :( no fried corn tortillas for the taco. Just the same taco shell you'd get from taco bell (this is what my son ordered). Soft tacos were $2 more than a "crunchy taco". My husband got the burrito california and said the steak (in Cali it would have been called carne asada) was good but he also wasn't very impressed and he grew up in a mexican household in Cali. The beans were bland, the rice was ok. It was a very loud and obnoxious environment, my kids were being well behaved and quiet and even they were overwhelmed on top of the fact that the waiter seemed to be rushing us out while we were still trying to eat, which ended up ramping up my anxiety to a point where I had to actually go outside to my car and wait for my husband to pay. I guess my search for Mexican food shall continue. If you're looking for something similar to tex-mex this is the place. If you're looking for authentic this is...
