There was a longer line than usual. Apparently the stalls were shut down. After receiving our order and driving away, we discovered that we were missing mozzarella sticks and a tater tot from a #3. We turned around and returned, but opted to go pull into stall #1 since the line was now longer than it was during our initial visit 10 minutes earlier. The rep on the speaker stated we would need to wait again in the line or come inside to get what we paid for, but did not receive with the rest of our order. I requested to have the missing items brought out to me and my children since waiting in the line again was unacceptable since I was already returning to rectify a mistake made by the staff. A girl came out and asked what we were missing, she went back inside and returned a couple of minutes later. It was at this time I was informed that apparently I am a liar since the manager was insisting that I come inside since the items were placed in the bag! Don't know what benefit that would have yielded me since I had already spent almost $50 on our large order which the girl at the window called it when she asked if we were the ones with the big order! I grabbed the entire bag and knocked on the door before the Manager "Maurice" came to open the door. I asked that he locate the items since they were placed in the bag prepared to insist he also come outside and search the car since my integrity was in question! He searched the bag, turned around and asked what I was missing, requested it from the gentleman in the back. Came and returned the bag to the front counter, didn't say anything when he did this, and turned to walk away. It was clear I was still waiting, so he turned and asked if I was missing anything else. I stated I was still waiting for the missing items. He stated they were in the bag, I asked about Marinara sauce, he stated it was also in the bag, and as I was verifying, he walked back over with two sauces, because surprise, surprise, there were not any in the bag. I grabbed the bag and walked out since the rudeness and audacity of this individual in a managerial position was absolutely mind blowing to me considering his blatant lack of customer service skills and dismissive demeanor! We subsequently discovered at home that a burger was missing the bacon as well as ketchup and there was no ranch for the jalapeño poppers that were ordered despite the girl on the speaker inquiring about it during the ordering process!
Sonic is my sons favorite restaurant and he usually has to convince me to purchase it for dinner after practices and games, this experience and MAURICE have now given another reason to not visit this establishment and ensure that we will be less likely to return! Read moreI placed an online pickup order and the screen said an employee was heading my way with my order. Thirty minutes went by and I had still not received my order. I then called the store twice without an answer. So I then pressed the red order button and explained my situation once the employee on the other side answered. She said she was not seeing my order, and then a man answered and right off the bat had an awful attitude. At no point did I give an attitude, I feel I was actually quite nice considering how long I'd been waiting. He attempted to say that I had already received my food and began accusing me of being a white truck that had gone against traffic and apparently caused problems (I had not). While I tried to correct him, he continued to talk over me and try to convince me I'd already gotten my food (once again, I had not). When he finally understood that I was not the person in the white truck and had not received my food, he let me know someone would be out shortly. At this point he still had a bad attitude, as if anything that had happened had been my fault. I received my order no more than two minutes later, despite his claim that the order had been given to the wrong person. I assumed it would have been a little longer considering the fact that they'd have to remake it. The bag that the food came in had the original receipt on it with the time that I placed the order (about 45 minutes prior at this point after trying to get in contact with someone). The food that we received was cold, leading me to believe they'd just forgotten to bring me my order and not accidentally given it to someone else. I brought both of my children who are finished school to their open interviews as the lobby wall says Tuesday’s and Thursday’s 5 pm to 7 pm and on Tuesday they waited around over 2 hours for the manager David to show up and he never showed so we just left. Called today which is Thursday the 8th of March was told that my children could come back today after being asked did they put in a application online told them yes the girl said hold to confirm with David the manager and said okay they can come today at anytime because the 5 pm to 7 pm changed it’s now no certain time. So I took them back and when they went in this time David was there he’s the manager white male and told my two children that he currently had 6 interviews going on at the moment lied because I asked my kids the sonic inside was empty nobody was being interviewed and I’m like they just told them to come now saying he’ll pull their applications and call them. I called inside the store to talk to him about them giving us the run around different stories then acting like he don’t know what’s going on he was rude and very abrupt and to think we eat at this sonic and he appeared to be a nice guy but he has given us the impression that he’s racist against blacks or just against my children. This place is a disgrace and there is a lot of discrimination and we will no longer eat at this sonic anymore after how the manager David has treated my children.
