From the moment I stepped into St. Eve’s, I knew I was in for something special. The atmosphere strikes a beautiful balance—warm and intimate with a rustic charm, yet polished with modern touches that immediately set the tone for an elevated dining experience. Soft lighting, reclaimed wood accents, and thoughtfully curated details make it feel like you’ve stumbled upon a secret haven for food lovers. What truly sets the tone, though, is the staff. From the host to the servers, everyone exudes genuine warmth and hospitality. They’re not just courteous—they’re passionate about what they do, offering thoughtful recommendations and sharing the story behind each dish with pride and excitement. It feels less like you’re dining out and more like you’ve been welcomed into someone’s home. And then, of course, there’s Chef Stefan. His cooking is nothing short of artistry—each plate arriving with flawless presentation and even more impressive flavors. Every bite was layered, thoughtful, and deeply satisfying. The Prince Edward Island mussels, served in a fragrant broth of lemongrass, Thai green curry, and coconut milk, were a masterclass in balance—briny, creamy, spicy, and impossibly fresh. The broth was so extraordinary, so irresistibly flavorful, that I couldn’t resist asking for more of the warm, freshly baked bread (served complimentary) just to soak up every last drop. As for the main course, the duck breast was an absolute standout—cooked to a perfect medium rare, with a crisp, rendered skin and a depth of flavor that was both rich and refined. Paired with seasonal accompaniments that elevated the dish without overpowering it, it was a perfect showcase of Chef Stefan’s ability to balance classic technique with bold, modern flavors. St. Eve’s isn’t just a restaurant—it’s an experience. Chef Stefan and his team have created a place that celebrates food, service, and atmosphere with equal heart. Whether you’re a seasoned foodie or someone just looking for a perfect night out, this place delivers in every possible way. Don’t miss it. And whatever you do—get the mussels (and keep that bread basket close). Oh, and the duck? Unforgettable.

A Culinary Gem in Ho-Ho-Kus – A Must Visit! I recently had the pleasure of dining at St. Eve’s and it was truly a phenomenal experience from start to finish. The ambiance is warm, elegant, and intimate — perfect for a relaxing evening out. The food was absolutely exceptional. The pork chop was juicy, tender, and bursting with flavor — beautifully complemented by rich sauces and elegant sides. The appetizer featuring prosciutto, arugula, and fresh fruit was light, refreshing, and artfully balanced. To top it all off, the tiramisu was nothing short of phenomenal — airy, rich, and flawlessly executed. Easily one of the best I’ve had. The service was impeccable, and the BYOB option made the evening even more enjoyable, allowing us to pair our favorite wine with this incredible meal. Hats off to Chef Stefan Ondrus and the entire St. Eve’s team — this place is a true standout. I can’t wait to return and try more from their inspired menu.

I had an amazing experience at St. Eves! From the moment we walked in, everything felt welcoming and relaxed. The atmosphere is beautiful without feeling too formal, and the staff made us feel right at home. The food was absolutely incredible. You can really tell that Chef Stefan Ondrus puts so much care and creativity into every dish. Everything we tried was full of flavor, beautifully presented, and just felt special. You don’t come across that level of attention to detail every day. I honestly can’t pick a favorite dish because everything was that good. You could tell the ingredients were super fresh, and the combinations of flavors were spot on. Chef Stefan is clearly very talented, and it shows in every bite. Highly recommend St. Eves if you’re looking for a place that’s not only delicious but also has a great vibe. Can’t wait to go back!

Our daughter's baby shower on March 10th, 2024, at St. Eve's restaurant was an absolute dream come true. From the very beginning, the entire experience exceeded our expectations.

One of the highlights was having the entire restaurant to ourselves. It created an intimate atmosphere perfect for a baby shower celebration. The ambiance of St. Eve's added a touch of sophistication to the event.

Annick, the manager, was a gem! Her gracious demeanor and helpful suggestions were invaluable throughout the planning process. We opted for the premier package, which provided a fantastic foundation, and were able to personalize it by adding our own flair to the dessert options.

The wait staff was another star of the show. They were incredibly attentive to our guests' needs throughout the entire event, ensuring everyone felt comfortable and well-catered to.

The food at St. Eve's was truly impressive. Each course was beautifully presented and tasted absolutely delicious. We particularly appreciated that our guests had the option of choosing between beef, chicken, or fish for their main entree, providing something for everyone.

The staff at St. Eve's went above and beyond by allowing us to drop off our decorations the day before the event. Additionally, they provided us with ample time to arrive early and help with the setup. This flexibility made the planning process significantly less stressful.

We were thoroughly impressed with the care, expertise, and professionalism of the entire team at St. Eve's. They ensured that our daughter's baby shower was a truly special and memorable event. If you're looking for a beautiful and well-managed venue to host a private event, I wouldn't hesitate to highly recommend St....

What an absolute gem tucked away in Ho-Ho-Kus! Having recently moved from Edgewater, I’ve had to part with the culinary delights of that area—and the quick ferry rides to NYC’s vibrant food scene. So discovering this restaurant has been nothing short of a revelation.

Word had it that the spot recently welcomed a new chef who’s been revamping the menu, so I decided to stop by on a Wednesday night. To my surprise, the place was lively and nearly full, a testament to its growing reputation. The ambiance struck the perfect balance between antique charm and understated elegance—inviting yet refined, making you feel both comfortable and well taken care of. The wait staff, warm and attentive, offered candid recommendations that added to the experience.

Now, let’s talk about the food, the true highlight of the evening. We began with the mussels, and they were a revelation. I had no idea mussels could be so tender and delicate. The sauce, rich and flavorful, was perfect for dipping with the accompanying white bread—enough to make a meal on its own. We also tried the crab and seaweed salad, a refreshing and flavorful dish that complemented the mussels beautifully.

For the main course, we indulged in the ribeye, seared to absolute perfection, and finished the meal with a peach cream dessert that was every bit as exquisite as the courses preceding it.

It’s been a long time since I’ve been so inspired by a dining experience that I felt compelled to write a review. But here I am, thrilled about the convenience and quality this restaurant offers. Chef Stephan is undoubtedly elevating the local dining scene, and I can’t wait to see how he continues to...
