I arrived and was promptly seated at 5:48p. There was no silverware or napkins at my table and was never brought out until I asked for the silverware when my food came out. I sat down started to look at the menu in hopes I could figure what I wanted fairly quick. I did but the problem was it took 10 minutes to even have a server come and take my drink order. The hostess came over and asked me if I have been helped yet and about that time a server came over. I ordered a sweet tea and it wasn’t sweet at all. So I ordered a Coca-Cola thinking it wouldn’t take long to get that brought out. It took another 5 minutes. Normally it takes me when I eat out on my own I can sit down, order, eat, and pay all within 30 minutes. At this point I am 15 minutes in and figured lets see how bad this can get. It was like watching a bad movie and waiting to see how bad the ending was going to be! IT WAS BAD!!!!
I finally ordered and got my food out. Now at this point it was probably 30 plus minutes. The food came out hot and it was good. I emptied my drink and my server never came back. I need to interject here that I have yet to actually see the face of my server as she talked to me from over my right shoulder like she was preoccupied. I let this go!!
SO since the food was hot and tasted good I figured I would eat dessert also. I forgot to mention here that I still hadn’t got any napkins so I got up and went and got my own from the servers podium where my server was standing. I asked her to come fill my drink while I reached around and grabbed some napkins.
I finally got a refill and ordered my cookie. It came out hot..so hot it was almost burnt but still edible. When she ordered my cookie I asked for my ticket. She brought it over real quick like that was the most important part of the night! I laid my card down and it sure didn’t take her long to get that and swipped.
Well, I left my signature on the ticket with no tip..obviously!!! Oh and I took a picture of the receipt because frankly I dont trust this location to not and try to put a tip on my ticket. So one thing I hadn’t talked about yet was the manager! The manager on duty decided that talking to me wasn’t important. She walked around all evening and never once came to my table to check on me. That’s ok!! I will never go back to this Chili’s again. I work in sales and I am always traveling and staying in hotels and eating out every night. This was hands down the worst service I have ever encountered. I seriously hope that something is done about this establishment and some server...
Read moreThis place is irritating but it's not the employees' fault; it's just what you get at a corporate hellscape of a chain like this. For example, after ordering a drink at the bar, I wasn't allowed to change my mind and take it to a table that my friend got. I would've had to finish my first drink at the bar, pay my tab, then transition to the table and start a second tab there. I ordered a Modelo michelada and they didn't have Modelo despite it being on the menu. I was informed that the corporation gives every location the same menu, so it's not always accurate. I chose a different beer and the michelada they made was the worst I've ever had. It was badly and weakly flavored, and the "large" one was just a standard pint glass. At the table, they want you to order and pay using a tablet, which I find irritating since I have food allergies so I need to ask questions about ingredients. There is a server available to talk to but they still want you to pay with the tablet if using a card. Ours didn't work properly so we had to have them fetch another one. This was all just to pay for my friend's iced tea, which he was required to pay for at his table because he ordered it there, even though he joined me at the bar after ordering and I asked them to just add it to my bar tab. This was not allowed so he had to go back to the table, flag down the server, and run his card for the iced tea. We were short on time and growing irritated with the place so we didn't order any food, therefore I can't say whether or not the food is any good. In conclusion, this place is lame. Find someplace local and don't support these...
Read moreFood; 5/5 -the chicken tacos were bland, salt pepper and lime fixed that -all the other food tasted great temps were good as well Price; 4/5 -drinks seemed high especially since i got only 1 refill see below -all of the food was fairly priced Service; 1/5 Our waitress was aweful. She had her favorite tables she attended well to, she ignored us i did without refills throughout my whole meal process recieving only 1 which was before the food arrived, when we were ordering she rushed us and didnt slow down to get all of the particulars. In my case i wanted a fried jalapeño and a bowl of chili. I had to wait for the food to come out to get her attention at which point i had to wait to get the other items which was really frustrating. The pepper i ordered was nice and spicy which ended up a nuisance because i had nothing to cool off the flame. Growing up chili’s was always my favorite restaurant but this waitress just made an embarrassing display and soured my view for this particular location. You never see poor service like this at lubbock locations. Like i say though apart from the service everything was great. Wait times were also acceptable (7 minutes to get in, 21 minutes for our entrees from the time we sat down). P.s. the store is...
